Hometown Care at County Animal Clinic

Welcome to VCA County Animal Clinic in Yonkers, New York!

County Animal Clinic has been serving pets from Yonkers, Tuckahoe, Riverdale, Hastings-on-Hudson, Eastchester, Scarsdale, Bronxville , and the many more pet communities throughout Westchester and NYC since the 1980's. We are a full service veterinary facility providing comprehensive medical and surgical services. We provide primary and preventative care including vaccination, annual and semi-annual wellness exams, body function screening, parasite prevention, canine and feline spays and neuters, and dental care.

Our CareClub®  wellness plans, with exclusive member benefits, cover routine treatments and check-ups that help keep your pet happy and healthy, no matter their age. VCA CareClub®  options for Junior, Adult, and Senior pets are an affordable, long-term wellness plan to protect your pet's health and help prevent illness and disease. VCA CareClub® Wellness Plans are preventive pet healthcare plans and are not insurance plans. For all eligible pets, County Animal Clinic offers a 30day free trail of TruPanion Pet Insurance, to cover up to 90% of sick, accident, or injury visits.

We additionally provide medical care for sick patients including management of chronic disease, some chemotherapy, and utilize both on and off site diagnostic labs. County Animal Clinic is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. We are closed on Sundays. We work in close association with nearby Emergency and Specialty Hospitals for those patients that might be deemed as critical and requiring immediate specialist or overnight care.

In addition to our three full-time primary care doctors (all of whom complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education per year - almost three times the New York State requirement), we also utilize boarded specialists in both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, abdominal ultrasound, echocardiography, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and rhinoscopy. We have digital in-house x-ray capability and every x-ray taken includes a boarded radiologist consultation.

In addition to our experienced doctor staff, County Animal Clinic strives to maintain a maximum number of licensed veterinary technicians (nurses), and we have a both an experienced administrative/management department and kennel crew. Our entire team is dedicated to providing not only the standards established by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) of which we are a member, but also the high standards of medical care that we have established over the many years of being there for our canine and feline patients. We provide 30 minute appointments as it is imperative to us that our doctors have adequate time to spend with their patients and determine the best plan without being rushed. For us, the most important part of our interaction is getting to know our patient and treating him or her as if they were our own pet. At County Animal Clinic, our goal is to continue our long history of providing the very best standard of medicine for your pet.

Thank You for learning about our hospital! We look forward to meeting you and your pet and being a part of their health care for many years to come!

Sincerely,
Dr. Angelo Maggiolo, Dr. Sylva Kim, Dr. Bradley Emott and all of the nursing and administrative staff at VCA County Animal Clinic

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.
