VCA Countryside Animal Hospital

  • Hospital Manager

    Edna Lopez-Henry

I have worked in the Veterinary field since 2002, I began working with VCA. in 2003. I  transferred to VCA Countryside in 2009 and prior to the transfer I was the Hospital Manager at VCA New Caney Animal Hospital. I enjoy everything about the Veterinary Field because it is constantly changing so I always have a chance to learn something new and exciting. My responsibilities within the hospital tend to keep me occupied in my office but I do like to sneak out and assist with patients when I can so I can keep my skills sharp. My heart will always push me towards my technical background which is where I started in my career and enjoy tremendously; it brings me great joy to work together with patients and their families to achieve a goal such as getting a sick patient better.

When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family (which includes my husband, 2 Chihuahuas, and 2 Guinea Pigs) and friends. I also enjoy traveling, fitness, scrapbooking, photography, movies and shopping.

Specialty Care

Sometimes sick or injured pets need the care of a veterinary medical specialist. When that happens, VCA specialty hospitals work closely with the general practitioner veterinarians who refer cases to us in order to provide seamless veterinary care to your pet. When your pet is facing any kind of serious illness or injury, our specialty referral hospitals will provide the compassionate and expert care your beloved pet needs.

Our goal is to make sure that when you and your pet are in need that you have access to board certified specialists who are up to date on the very latest developments in their field. In our state of the art hospitals, our specialists also have access to the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment tools and techniques from ultrasonography and endoscopy to CAT scans and even MRI.

As part of the VCA family, we have over 83 specialty hospitals across the US and Canada which provide referral specialty care, so there may be one near you. Our specialized services include: behavior, cardiology, critical care, dentistry, dermatology, integrative medicine, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, rehabilitation, reproduction, and surgery.
