Helping Coda - A House Fire Victim
A Wisconsin family is quite lucky after their 7-year-old Golden Retreiver, Coda, was rescued from a house fire.
On October 18, 2011, their house caught fire. Three of their four animals made it out safely, but Coda needed to be resuced by fire fighters from a second-story bedroom. Once he was outside, the firefighters quickly gave him mouth-to-snout resuscitation, and phoned VCA Companion Care Animal Hospital.
Thanks to the quick thinking of the firefighters, Coda survived and is doing well.
Wausau firefighters Jared Thompson, left, and Jamie Giese give artificial respiration to Coda.
