A Wisconsin family is quite lucky after their 7-year-old Golden Retreiver, Coda, was rescued from a house fire.

On October 18, 2011, their house caught fire. Three of their four animals made it out safely, but Coda needed to be resuced by fire fighters from a second-story bedroom. Once he was outside, the firefighters quickly gave him mouth-to-snout resuscitation, and phoned VCA Companion Care Animal Hospital.

Thanks to the quick thinking of the firefighters, Coda survived and is doing well.
