Lisa has been with Commack Animal Hospital since she was 16 years old. She started working in our kennel, then attended Farmingdale State University to become a veterinary technician with our hospital. She has always had a special bond with animals and all of her pets have been rescues. Giving them a loving home and knowing that she’s made a difference in their lives is very important to her. She says that the part that makes her happy is when her pets look at her with that “special look,” she knows that she’s done something wonderful. When not working, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 children and six pets. She also likes playing baseball and softball with her family and also enjoys bowling and tennis as well.

Danielle
Technician
Danielle .
Danielle is a veteriary technician who has been working at Commack Animal Hospital since 2002. Prior to that she worked at North Shore Animal League where she wore many hats from kennel assistant to kennel manager to quality control supervisor. Her previous experience also includes work at Bethpage Animal Hospital. She loves working at Commack Animal Hospital and enjoys all of her interactions with clients and their pets, the staff and the doctors.
Her interests in veterinary medicine include digital x-rays, including dental x-rays. She loves assisting with procedures.
In her free time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys music, movies, sports, concerts and traveling.

Jackie .
School: West Virgina University
Jackie is a veterinary technician at Commack Animal Hospital. She started her tenure here after college in 1998, initially working in our kennel before being promoted to her current position. She has two dogs, Ellie and Ezmee, and three cats, Wally, Riddick and Harry. In her free time, she enjoys music, sports, especially football.

Jen .
Jen graduated in 1993 from Hicksville High School (Large Animal care basics). She is currently a veterinary assistant, who has been with Commack Animal Hospital since 2011. Jen began working in the veterinary field in 1993 as a kennel assistant. Prior to joining our hospital staff, she worked in several private practices and was promoted to veterinary assistant. She loves the career path she has chosen and says she can’t imagine not working with animals because it’s so rewarding for her. In her free time, she enjoys playing softball, riding horses and dancing. She also loves spending time at home with her loving (rescued) felines, Cosmo (her Main Coon cat), Loquito, Amigo, Gorilla and Mork.

Veterinary Assistant

School: Wilson Tech Boces
Chris has been with Commack Animal Hospital as an assistant groomer and kennel assistant for two years. Prior to joining our staff, he worked as a groomer at Petco and another grooming salon. He attended Wilson Tech Boces for Grooming and plans to return to study Animal First Aid. His goal is to become a master groomer. Chris also plans to travel the world and hopes to do grooming in other countries. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, surfing, skating, and music.

Jaclynn .
Jaclyn a kennel assistant at Commack Animal Hospital and is currently attending Suffolk Community College to obtain her license as veterinary technician. She loves animals and wants very much to continue working in this field. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dog Archer. Her interests also include running, music and television.

Jennifer .
Prior to joining the staff at Commack Animal Hospital, Jennifer gained considerable experience working with companion animals as a kennel assistant and veterinary technician while attending college. She received her B.A. in Biological Sciences and now works as a substitute teacher, also tutoring at the Huntington Learning Center. Her educational plans include going back to school for a Master’s degree in Earth Science at Queens College, but she also plans to continue her work here at Commack Animal Hospital during the summers and on her days off from school.
Jennifer’s interests include reading and spending time with her five cats. She also enjoys spending time on her friend’s boat and at a beach house on Fire Island.

Veterinary Assistant

Joan is a veterinary assistant and kennel assistant with Commack Animal Hospital. She has been with our hospital since January 2001. Previously she worked at Cold Spring Hills Animal Hospital for 6 years. She has also performed volunteer work at various local animal shelters. In her spare time, she loves to hike the trails at Sunken Meadow Park. She also enjoys the ocean, swimming and spending time with her friends and family.

Kathy has been with Commack Animal Hospital since August 2011. She enjoys interacting with clients and their pets and working with her colleagues at the hospital. She has a dog named Butch, a pet goldfish and enjoys music, movies, volleyball and the beach.

Veterinary Assistant
Michelle .
Michelle is a kennel assistant who has been with Commack Animal Hospital since 2011. Working with animals has always been her passion, and she says she’s grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with them at our hospital. In her off-duty hours, Michelle volunteers at St. Catherine’s nursing home, and this has inspired her to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner. She will soon attend college to study nursing to pursue her dream. Michelle also enjoys competitive dancing, reading, media and computers.

Wendy
Veterinary Assistant
Wendy .
School: Suffolk Community College, Liberal Arts Degree
Wendy is Commack Animal Hospital’s multi-talented Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist, and Groomer. She started her tenure at our hospital in 2005 and enjoys working with clients, their pets and with her colleagues. She loves her dogs – Schnauzer "Bella" and Maltese "Chubby" – and spending time with them. Wendy is also a huge book reader and loves to paint – in fact, she’s painted pictures at our hospital! (Didn’t we say that Wendy is multi-talented!)
