Helping other people to take care of their furry friends is why she does what she does. Besides having a full time job with Columbia County's Law Enforcement, she's kept her part time job here for over 20 years.
For me it’s never been an option to have animals not be a part of my life; so, it’s only natural to want to work with them. “If you love what you do, then you’ll never work a day in your life.” That’s what coming to work every day feels like. I truly enjoy animal’s instantaneous love and companionship. Being able to experience that every day makes it all worth it to me. Knowing in my heart that what I do on a daily basis makes a difference in pet’s and owner’s lives is why I love working at VCA Columbia Animal Hospital.

"Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I had a special bond with animals, just like my father! My dream has always been to work with animals and I always imagined myself with a bunch of animals. My dreams have came true and I am very passionate about what I do."-Mary Hensley
