Biography

Dr. Alison Strauss was born in Annapolis, Maryland, but was raised in Northern Indiana. She attended Purdue University for her undergrad studies and stayed there for veterinary school. After receiving her D.V.M. in 2002 from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Strauss practiced for two years in a companion animal practice in Northern Indiana. In March of 2004, Dr. Strauss moved back east to Maryland so her husband could pursue a career with the federal government. Dr. Strauss then came to Columbia Animal Hospital to practice and follow her special interests in internal medicine, radiology/ultrasound and wellness. She shares her home with 2 daughters Josie and Lucy and her husband.
