School: UMBC, B.A.
Lisa has been working with animals since she was 15 years old, starting in the kennel and eventually becoming a veterinary technician. She worked as a technician while attending college at UMBC and after graduating with a degree in social work, she found it hard to leave the veterinary field that she had become so passionate about. Lisa worked as a technician for 12 years before becoming hospital manager. Lisa started working for VCA Hospitals in April of 2007, while living in California, and transferred to VCA Columbia Animal Hospital at Centre Park in April of 2010. Lisa has three very spoiled "kids:" Peanut the Chihuahua, Lily the Australian Shepherd, and Molson (pictured) her "old man" a shepherd/husky mix.
"I have always worked with animals and originally it started because I liked them, but is has grown into so much more. Everyday that I come to work I know that I have the chance to make a difference in the lives of our patients as well as their parents. I strive to give great patient care and to ensure that each and every patient is treated as I would like my own pets to be treated. I also hope to ensure that our clients feel trust, compassion, and quality care from our team. I can't imagine any other field of work feeling as rewarding."
