We have been serving the Columbia, Maryland and surrounding areas such as Ellicott City, Laurel, Elkridge, Clarksville, Hanover, Catonsville and Baltimore  since 1997. We are a full service small animal veterinary practice for puppies, kittens, dogs and cats. We are a well-equipped progressive veterinary practice that strives to ensure a long and healthy life for our patients and a happy relationship between our clients and their furry family members. We recently underwent a full remodel and expansion in 2014 and now boast a beautiful and up to date facility for you and your pet's comfort.

At VCA Columbia at Centre Park, our goal is to offer your pet the highest standards of medical care through our extensively trained staff of veterinarians, technicians, and client service specialists. We understand that most pets are members of the family and that our pet parents want to give their “fur kids” long, happy, healthy lives.

Our team shares your love for pets, and we pride ourselves on our small family-like atmosphere and the ability to take the time really get to know our clients and our patients so that we can offer personalized and compassionate care.

Whatever your pet’s needs may be, we are here to help you, and invite you to visit to see for yourself!

Local Medical Issues

Canine Flu Alert!

Many of our clients have asked about the threat of canine influenza to their dogs. Canine flu is a highly contagious respiratory virus with nearly all dogs that are exposed becoming infected within a few days after exposure. This disease is highly contagious, so dogs that are around other dogs (boarding, grooming, dog shows, dog parks, contact with neighbors dogs) are at increased risk

About 80% of exposed dogs will go on to develop signs. Typical symptoms resemble those of kennel cough: a persistent cough (often accompanied by a nasal discharge). Some dogs go on to develop pneumonia and can become critically ill.

A vaccine is available that can help reduce this risk. Please schedule an appointment today with one of our VCA Veterinarians.

Accreditations & Affiliations
American Animal Hospital Association

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.
