Biography
Dr. John Sheard graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and joined Cherry Bend Animal Hospital in 2010. John also has an MBA in finance and prior to becoming a veterinarian, spent 14 years working in corporate finance. While in school, John served as Treasurer for the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Association and was the recipient of both a Veterinary Dental Award and Student Achievement Award in Small Animal Medicine.John’s primary areas of interest are small animal internal medicine and both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. He is a member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Sheard is excited to meet the clients and patients of Cherry Bend Animal Hospital and to provide compassionate, high quality medical care.
John lives in Traverse City with his wife Kathy, their son Logan, their Yellow Labs Koda and Skyler and California King Snake Salazar. His pastimes include fly fishing, biking and camping.
