    David

Hi, My name is David and I recently moved here in January 2006 from Southern California. I have been working with animals since I was 15 years old. I have always wanted to work at Seaworld in California, which I have not yet been fortunate to do. I have 2 brothers, one of which is a fire fighter/paramedic for Traverse City. My other brother does marketing in his home state in Southern California. My mom and dad still live in Southern California, but they plan to retire in Traverse City.

My future goal is to follow my passion in the veterinary field.

    Dawn Puppy Daycare

Hi! My name is Dawn. I started working here in August 2008, in the Puppy Daycare. My daughter, Courtney also works here in the daycare when she is not attending college. She asked me if I would consider working in the daycare for her while she is at college. It has worked out well for the both of us.

I have been married to a wonderful man, Dan for 24 years. We have four awesome kids, Danielle 21, Courtney soon to be 20, Travis 18 and Brittany 16.

When not working, I love to spend time with my family. I enjoy biking, power walking, going to concerts, reading and listening to music.

Sarah, Certified Pet Dog Trainer and Puppy Daycare

Hi! My name is Sarah. I am the Puppy Daycare Manager here at VCA Cherry Bend Animal Hospital. I am a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, specializing in puppy socialization classes, as well as a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. I absolutely love every minute of my job what could possibly be more fun than working with puppies?

My furry family consists of two cats and two dogs. Allie is a tiger cat that I adopted; she was about three days old when we got her. We had to bottle feed her until she was old enough to eat soft food. Meester is a white Persian that was a stray living in my dad's garage covered in oil and matted. He is now a clean and healthy boy. Daisy Lou is our Basset Hound we adopted; she just loves life, food, and her family. Diesel is our brindle English Masstif; who was also a rescue. Diesel is truly a momma's boy and the inspiration for my interest in training. At the end of everyday there is nothing like going home to all of my pets who welcome me with wagging tails and lots of kisses!

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my sister Jennifer. I love hanging out with my best friend Billy, who is also my husband. We share many things in common but especially our love for critters. In my spare time I enjoy scrap booking, fishing, hunting, camping, participating in 4-H activities, and hanging out with the guys in the garage.
