We focus on preventative health care as well as the treatment of medical, surgical, and behavioral conditions in companion animals. Our intention is to offer superior client service along with compassionate, high quality patient care.

Looking For A Non-Invasive Alternative to Gastrointestinal Surgery?

VCA Cherry Bend Animal Hospital is now offering endoscopy as a non-invasive alternative to exploratory surgery. A flexible endoscope is an instrument with an attached camera that allows visualization of the inside of the stomach, part of the intestine and the colon. The endoscope aids in the early diagnosis of gastrointestinal problems such as ulcers, masses, foreign bodies, inflammatory bowel disease, and cancers. It can even be used to take internal biopsies and remove foreign bodies from the stomach, all without a surgical incision.

Dr. Erickson has recently attended a conference to stay current on the most recent uses of the flexible endoscope and can perform examinations of the throat, stomach, intestine, colon, and nasal passages.

Accreditations & Affiliations
American Animal Hospital Association

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.
