Technician SupervisorCarolyn King
Carol is originally from New Jersey. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S degree in Animal Science. She has been a member of the VCA Charles Towne Animal Hospital team since 1992. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her three wonderful dogs, Kasie, Mason and Beaufort, gardening and relaxing with a good book.
Johanna has been with our team for almost a year now. Previously, she was a dog walker in Boston and worked as a receptionist at Salons/spas. Her favorite dog breed is the dachshund. Her interests outside of work include being outside, cooking, biking, hiking, rollerblading, swimming and paddle boarding.
I moved to Charleston in 2009 from Cincinnati, OH and I am currently pursuing a degree in Biology at the College of Charleston. After graduating from the college I hope to attend graduate school for Veterinary Medicine. I grew up with many pets including 4 English Bulldogs, a Boxer, 3 cats, 4 rabbits, and 3 guinea pigs. My passion for animals and experiences with them is the reason why I am pursuing a career in the Veterinary field. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, going to the beach, and relaxing with my adorable cat Moka.
I have been with VCA Charles Towne Animal Hospital since January 2013. I attended the Veterinary Technician program at Trident Technical College. I have always loved animals, and have a desire to help in any situation. My current animal companions are my dog, Frank, an Australian Sheperd Mix and a cat named Sawkes. Outside of work, I play bass guitar in an event band and I love playing Jazz music. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dog and playing frisbee with him! I also volunteer with the Colitis and Chron's Disease Foundation.
My name is Patricke Westbrook and I am the Animal Care Assistant here at VCA Charles Towne. Sitting next to me is my best friend, Heidi. We do lots of stuff together whether its going to the dog park, the beach, or hanging out around the house. I also have another dog, Maddie and a cat, Magie. I also go to school here in Charleston and I'm studying biology right now in hopes of one day becoming a horticulturist, but my second passion is animals. I love working with the dogs and cats that come in the clinic, and a cute puppy can always brighten up a down day. We have lots of fun at VCA Charles Towne and love all the patients that come through like our own.
