    Jacqueline Schmidt
    Veterinary Tech School: Joliet Junior College

    Jackie graduated from the Veterinary Medical Technology program at Joliet Junior College in 2014.  While in school, she had completed externships at VCA Channahon as well as Willowbrook Wildlife Center.  She return to VCA Channahon after graduation.  Her professional interests include surgical assistance as well as exotic and wildlife medicine.  In her spare time, Jackie enjoys reading, going to the movies and spending time with her family.


  • Certified Veterinary Technician

    Amanda Strainis
    Veterinary Tech School: Joliet Junior College

    Amanda is a Certified Veterinary Technician.  She has worked at VCA Channahon Animal Hospital for 13 years.  Amanda is married and has three daughters.  She also has two rescued Pit Bull Terriers named Dooley and Doja.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Nikki DeCristofaro

    Nikki has worked for VCA for 5 years.  She started as a Kennel Assistant and has worked her way up to include duties as a Receptionist as well as a Technician Assistant.  Nikki is going to Joliet Junior College in order to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.  Nikki hopes to one day gain enough experience to work behind Zoo doors.  Nikki currently has three cats and one dog, all of which were rescued.

    Amanda Miles

    Amanda is a wife and mother to three daughters.  She has been a Technician Assistant for 10 years, most of it being with VCA.   Amanda can't imagine doing anything else and loves her job. Besides taking care of her husband and children, Amanda also has two dogs, a guinea pig, fish and a turtle.
