VCA Chancellor Animal Hospital

Gina Schroetter, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, Ohio State University

Biography

Dr. Schroetter graduated from Ohio State Veterinary College in 1985 after only three years in undergrad at Ohio State University. She originally came to Fredericksburg to work in mixed animal practice, specializing in horse reproduction. After 5 years, she decided to concentrate on small animals and came to work at VCA Chancellor. Her greatest enjoyment comes from witnessing and strengthening the human animal bond. “I love to see a dog wag its tail in recognition of its owner.” When not at work, Dr. Schroetter has a passion for dog agility sports and regularly shows (and wins!) with her ball obsessed Corgi, Magic. She and her son also enjoy fishing.  "I like to see the pets when the owners have dropped them off for the day, how the pets react to seeing their owners when they come to pick them up.  That is the most rewarding part of my job."
