Troy Cobb
Medical Director DVM

Born in Oklahoma, Dr. Cobb's family moved to Carrollton, Texas when he was a child. He spent part of his teenage years on a small farm in Grandview, Texas raising hens, hogs, and heifers. He received his associate degree in Science from Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas and attended Texas A&M University from 1986-1993. He received his B.S. in Biology, and was awarded his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University.

Employed by Aardvark Veterinary Hospital out of college from 1993-1996, after which he went on to work nine wonderful years with The North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic. He has been with VCA Central Expressway Animal Hospital since 2005, a hospital that has been existence for over 50 years. VCA Central Expressway Animal Hospital is AAHA accredited.

Dr. Cobb currently has one dog, Douglas, along with two cats, Beau and Norman. In addition, he has several hens run about his back yard wrecking havoc on the garden and bugs.

Dr. Cobb enjoys soft tissue surgery. Dr. Cobb also performs dental procedures weekly. He believes that all cats and dogs should be on monthly parasite prevention to improve health and quality of life as well as to protect their human families from parasites, and the diseases which fleas and ticks carry.

Dr. Cobb is a member of Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and American Veterinary Medical Association. He is a proud supporter of Public Radio KERA and KXT in the Dallas area. He is a member of the 365 Club for The Resource Center Dallas. He is a Century Club member with The Association of Former Students at Texas A&M. Proud supporter of the local theatre specifically Dallas Theatre Center, AT&T Performing Arts Center, and Uptown Players.

He has contributed funds to help establish The Veterinary Class of '93 Endowed Scholarship fund. He has established The Janet Richardson Cobb Endowed Scholarship at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. He has also established an endowed scholarship at Hill College.
