Gina Poplawsky
Staff Veterinarian DVM, Fear Free Certified
Dr. Gina Poplawsky is originally from Colorado and grew up in Littleton, just south of VCA Centennial Animal Hospital. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and obtained a BA in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology.  While originally planning to pursue a career in human medicine, her volunteer work in animal care showed her first-hand the immense rewards of helping animals.  Dr. Poplawsky was a board member of a non-profit animal rescue, fostered many animals herself, and volunteered at a bird of prey rehabilitation center and a spay-neuter clinic. Those experiences led to her working at VCA Centennial Valley Animal Hospital for several years before attending and graduating from the Colorado State University veterinary program in 2021.

Dr. Poplawsky's veterinary interests include feline medicine, preventative care, and animal behavior. She loves the unique ability to form strong connections with both animals and their humans alike that veterinary medicine provides.

She shares a home with her two cats, Tinkerbell and Denali, who amaze and delight her every day.   Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Poplawsky's interests include hiking, climbing, and running in Colorado's beautiful backcountry. She has summited all 58 "14'ers"  in the state.
