All of us at VCA Centennial Valley Animal Hospital are thrilled to announce that we have, once again, achieved our AAHA accreditation for 2014! What does that mean, exactly? Well, AAHA stands for American Animal Hospital Association which is the only national organization that accredits veterinary practices for dedication to high standards of veterinary care. AAHA was formed in 1933 and creates stringent accreditation standards for patient care, client service, and medical protocols.

AAHA accredited practices have to pass regular comprehensive evaluations of over 900 standards by the association’s consultants. The evaluations include a quality assessment review of the hospital’s facility, medical equipment, practice methods, and pet health care management. In order to ensure that the standards are consistent with evolving knowledge and technology they are periodically reviewed. Only 15% of all small animal veterinary practices in the US have achieved this voluntary accreditation.

At VCA Centennial Valley Animal Hospital we are dedicated to offering the best care and range of services to our patients and clients. We feel that maintaining this accreditation will help us to achieve that goal and stay on the leading edge of veterinary medicine. We have proudly been AAHA Accredited since 1999.
