VCA Catoosa Animal Hospital

VCA Old Mill Pet Inn

We at VCA Old Mill Pet Inn strive to make your pet feel as much at home as we can.

For our feline guests we have spacious kitty condos with a window view and a perch.  Adjoining doors can be opened to additional condos to make luxury suites.

Our accomodations for dogs are just as luxurious.  we have indoor runs with raised beds, runs which connect via a doggy door to private outdoor runs, and individual outdoor exercise pens.  All our dogs spend the night indoors and are either walked or "let out" regularly.

We welcome up to 2 toys, a bed or blanket, treats, and your pet's own food to help make your pet more comfortable.  If you are "traveling light" however, we gladly provide food (Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach), bedding, and all the essentials for your pet.

Play Time

Even though all our animal guests have roomy accomodations and our canine guests are walked regularly, we are also happy to provide extra walking sessions and/or personal playtime for your pet.  Playtime is a 15 minutes session of one-on-one interaction between one of our very caring attendants and your pet.  For some pets, playtime might be a chance to run around and play "fetch" while for others, it may be 15 minutes of petting and lap-sitting.

For the safety of all our animal guests, we do require proof of the following vaccinations:

Dogs must be current on:
  • DHPP-for distemper, parvo, flu, etc. Booster vaccine required within the past year
  • Rabies-required  yearly or must have received the 3 year vaccine
  • Bordatella (kennel cough)-we require all dogs to have an intranasal bordatella vaccine within 6 months of boarding
Cats must be current on:
  • FVRCP-for feline distemper, etc. Booster vaccine required within the past year
  • Rabies-required  yearly or must have received the 3 year vaccine
Fleas and Ticks

Fleas are extremely aggravating as well as a real health risk to your pet.  For this reason we immediately treat any animal which shows any evidence of fleas.  We use a variety of medications including Frontline, Advantage, and Capstar.  Which one we use depends upon the owner's preference and the animal's immediate need.

You may want your pet to have a bath before he or she goes home.  Ask about our new HydroSurge bathing system!
