    Veterinary Tech School: Median School of Allied Health Careers

    Jeff graduated from the Median School of Allied Health Careers/veterinary assistant program and joined VCA Castle Shannon in 1996. He became the Technical Supervisor in 2004. He has a Dogue de Bordeaux named Deuce, a Pomeranian named Bella, a Chihuahua named Nigel and 3 cats. In his free time he breeds African Cichlids.

    Veterinary Tech School: Western School (James) and Vet Tech Institute (Erich)

     Erich is one of our Emergency overnight technicians.  He has worked at VCA Castle Shannon since 2008. He has four cats; Mr. Bojangles, Mr. Pepperidge, Mini Meow and Mama, a Water Dragon; Reggie, and a snake; Mr. Snakey.

    Laura joined our team in 2008.  She is a licensed veterinary technician and also our hospital's Cat Champion! Laura has a passion for feline medicine and coordinates all of our cat-friendly programs.

    Veterinary Tech School: Median School of Allied Health Careers and Vet Tech Institute

    Three of our Licensed Technicians. Denise is also certified in RDMS (AB) from ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonogram). Denise started at CSAH in 1998, Missy in 2007 and Kris started in 1986.

    Krystl joined Castle Shannon in 2010. She is a graduate of the Vet Tech Institute

    Christina graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in 2013 and joined Castle Shannon in August 2013. She enjoys working with feline rescue groups and owns two cats, Gus and Magnolia.

    Jenn is a receptionist and has also been a Assistant Technical Supervisor. She majored in Biology at CCAC and began her career at VCA Castle Shannon in 2001. Jenn pet-sits in her spare time. She lives in the South Hills of Pittsburgh with husband Tim and sons Layne and Alexander. The family has 3 dogs, 1 cat, a bearded dragon, and tropical fish.

    Dena is the Pharmacy Technician at VCA Castle Shannon. She also works at the Front Desk. She joined our staff in 1998. She received her pharmacy technician degree in 1998. She has three cats named, Marley, Martin, and Mongo. In her free time, Dena enjoys going to the gym, shopping and watching true crime documentaries on TV.

    Jessica joined our team in 2013. She is a graduate of the Vet Tech Institute and Westmoreland community college. She owns a Bearded Dragon, a Leopard Gecko and two cats. In her free time, Jessica enjoys scuba diving, hiking and reading.

    Veterinary Tech School: LCCC Tech School

    Tyler joined VCA Castle Shannon in 2013. He transferred from VCA Duncan Manor where he worked as a technician for 5 years. He graduated from LCCC Tech School.
    Tyler lives in Brookline with his girlfriend Tara and pets: Sawyer, Pepito, Penelope and Nemo. His hobbies are golfing, hiking and racing go-karts.

    Jennifer joined our staff in 2013. She is a graduate of Sanford Brown and will be taking her technician boards in April. She has a 8 year old son named James. She also has a dog ( Clemente) and a cat ( Bingo). In her free time, Jennifer enjoys reading.

The household also includes: two horses ( Networker and Golden Boy), a Bernese Mountain Dog              (Silas), a Shepard Mix ( Sadie), a Yorkie ( Tess) and two cats ( Willow and Coral).
