VCA Cacoosing Animal Hospital

  • Hospital Manager

    Melanie Anastos

Melanie has been working with VCA Animal Hospitals for over 14 years, she has worked at several VCA hospitals and started out as a receptionist before becoming the hospital manager. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, going to the beach, spending time with her husband and their 2 west highland terriers.

"I have always loved animals and as I got older I knew I wanted to work in an animal hospital so when I joined the VCA team over 14 years ago I knew I landed my dream job! I can’t imagine working anywhere else.

I may not get to work with the animal’s everyday but I am still very much involved in their care, as the hospital manager I make sure that every pet is treated like I treat my own dogs. When I am having a stressful day I can go “love on” a pet that is in the hospital or in our boarding kennel and it makes me feel so much better. I could sit and talk to people all day about their pets, I can honestly say I love coming to work every day and making a difference in the lives of our clients."

Specialty Care

Sometimes sick or injured pets need the care of a veterinary medical specialist. When that happens, VCA specialty hospitals work closely with the general practitioner veterinarians who refer cases to us in order to provide seamless veterinary care to your pet. When your pet is facing any kind of serious illness or injury, our specialty referral hospitals will provide the compassionate and expert care your beloved pet needs.

Our goal is to make sure that when you and your pet are in need that you have access to board certified specialists who are up to date on the very latest developments in their field. In our state of the art hospitals, our specialists also have access to the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment tools and techniques from ultrasonography and endoscopy to CAT scans and even MRI.

As part of the VCA family, we have over 83 specialty hospitals across the US and Canada which provide referral specialty care, so there may be one near you. Our specialized services include: behavior, cardiology, critical care, dentistry, dermatology, integrative medicine, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, rehabilitation, reproduction, and surgery.
