I have been immensely blessed to have a long career in the veterinary business. I was hired by Drs. Robertson, Small and Altman in 1973 and have continued to work for VCA since 1996. I have had the opportunity to work all aspects of the hospital from, purchasing, to surgery/x-ray assist, to assisting management, to working reception.
Due to the flexible work schedules I was able to raise my family while continuing to work full- time. My loving husband Sam and I have been married for 28 years and have two beautiful children. Alex is 26 and a graduate from CSUN with a degree in Film and Television Arts and is working in T.V. Our daughter Emily is 25 as a graduate from UCLA with a Masters degree in math and is a high school math teacher in Westchester.
We all love the mountains and spend lots of our free time in the Sierras. We bring our dog Samantha with us as she is an awesome trail dog. She is a Chow/Shephard mix and we love her dearly.
I have made many lasting friendships while working for VCA. I truly love coming to work everyday. I am proud to be working with the most talented and professional team VCA has.

I'm a southern California native who joined the VCA family in 2007 as a receptionist. A true animal lover, I thrive in an environment where I can be with my furry friends. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Deaf Studies from California State University, Northridge. Yet, my need to work with animals continues. I maintain a First-Aid certification by the American Red Cross for pets. I enjoy traveling to new places, running, and reading.

I was born in the bay area, but grew up in the San Gabriel Valley. For most of my career life I worked in the entertainment industry, but I have always had a passion and love for animals. By chance one day I came upon VCA Burbank because my cat Buster was sick. I fell in love with this group of people and the love of animals I shared with them. I decided I wanted to be a part of their team! I was so lucky and grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with these wonderful doctors and staff in 2009. I did leave at one point to work at a private practice and another VCA location where my position was an exam room technician and pharmacy tech, but my heart has always been with the team at VCA Burbank, so I returned to my home. I have four pets, Buster and Chase, my two litter mate rescue cats; and Butterbean and Crystal, my two rescue dogs. On my time off I luv to take my two dogs on hikes, get together with family and friends and just enjoy this wonderful life I have been given!

My name is Michele Monachello and I have been with the VCA Burbank family since July of 2010. I have two dogs; a male pit bull named Tarzan who is 9 years old and a female pit bull named Tuna who is 5 years old. Tarzan is the goofiest dog. He loves people and can't stand it if somebody isn't paying attention to him. He is in his senior years now, but still acts like a puppy. Tuna is scared around strangers, but once she warms up to you she is the sweetest dog. She loves other animals and loves to give kisses. They both enrich my life is so many ways. I love the veterinary industry and truly like what I do. I get to meet great people everyday and help animals. The best thing about this job is getting to work with people that I call my friends. We are like one big family here, and we all want clients to feel the same way. I cannot imagine doing anything else.
