VCA Buckhead Animal Hospital

Stephanie Craft, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, Mississippi State University
2001, MSU School of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Craft was born and raised in Mississippi.  She attended Mississippi State University for both her undergraduate degree of Biological Science and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.  She relocated to Atlanta after school in 2001.  Dr. Craft had the opportunity to work as a civilian veterinarian in the United States Army stationed in Aviano, Italy.  When she returned to the states she once again returned to Atlanta and has been with VCA Buckhead AH since that time.  Dr. Craft is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.  She lives in Buckhead with her elderly cat Zoe.

"I have known I wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember.  To my mother and father's dismay I brought home every stray and sick animal that I could find.  Once I got older I discovered a love for science and it was a perfect match.  Growing up in Mississippi I witnessed many animals that weren't taken care of because of a lack of pet welfare education.  I knew that I wanted to be a part of improving the lives of animals.  I never considered the bond that I would form with owners.  One of the most fulfilling parts of my job is getting to know my clients and their families.  I love working here becasue I honestly feel that everyone here loves animals and wants to do all we can to make them healthy and happy."
