VCA Buckhead Animal Hospital

Heather Krohne, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, University of Missouri

Dr. Heather Markway was born in the Midwest within the great city of St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She continued her education as a small animal intern at Mississippi State University and relocated to Atlanta in July of 2007. She began working at BAH in August of 2007. Dr. Markway lives in Grant Park with Moxie, her Boxer.

"Growing up in the Midwest, my family was always surrounded by furry family members - cats, dogs, horses, chickens, guinea pigs and hamsters.  There was never a doubt in my mind that I would become a veterinarian and care for these amazing creatures.  Every day, I get to meet different animals and people and experience the wonderful bond they share.  My "job" allows me to help care for pets, educate owners in prevention medicine, build relationships with clients, and work with many intelligent and caring people."

Specialty Care

Sometimes sick or injured pets need the care of a veterinary medical specialist.
