The Best Place Ever

-Anne Conklin from Brighton, MA
Pet Name: MaKenzie and Valentino

Words can't express how grateful I am for Brookline VCA Animal Hospital! I have 2 young poodle mix dogs that have been loved and cared for by the entire staff there as they have attended their day care almost daily for 2 years. Dr. Lori Feldman is their vet and they love her and so do I! She is compasssionate, patient, loving and extremely talented. I usually don't go a day without recommending her to a friend. The entire staff deserves special recognition!

Thank you

-Laura Kitchings from Brookline, MA
Pet Name: Shannon

No need to contact me, I just wanted to thank the entire office for treating me and my cockapoo Shannon (who I have had for less than a month) wonderfully the other night. On the way to the appointment my car broke down, and the staff took care of the dog for about 2 hours (including the office visit and bloodwork) while I ran around dealing with my car. The dog remained relaxed with the staff at all times, and the staff later called me an animal friendly taxi to get home. I also appreciated that I was not over-charged during the two visits and unnecessary procedures were not encouraged. I will be bringing my cats to this office (in addition to the dog) from now on. Please share this where-ever.

My Dog's Care at Brookline Animal Hospital

-Jamie Cumming from Boston, MA
Pet Name: India

Just recently after fifteen and a half years of wonderful life my fiance and I had to make the gut wrenching decision to put our dog, India, to sleep.

I would like to say that from the first time I brought India to the Brookline Animal Hospital back in 1995 up until his last visit we had the best experiences there. I noticed over the years as India's primary care vet changed that the quality of care from each new vet was beyond excellent.

Towards the end of his life India had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Sanchez. She was so helpful in guiding us to help ease his pain and discomfort as he grew older. I always knew we were in good hands with Dr. Sanchez and even on that dreaded day, she handled India and us so well. She explained everything and was supportive of a decision that is one of the hardest to make.

We appreciate everything she did for us and someday in the future when we are ready to bring another dog into our lives we hope to see Dr. Sanchez again.

From the bottom of our hearts we would like to thank Dr. Sanchez and everyone else at the Brookline Animal Hospital that cared for India.

Thank you! We love you all!

Jamie and Liz

A Truly Amazing Place

-Jill Crouch from Boston, MA
Pet Name: Cricket

My animals have been patients of Dr. Liza Sanchez at VCA Brookline since 2007. She and the team at VCA are truly incredible people. Not only does Dr. Sanchez provide excellent care, but she is kind and compassionate too. She has seen me through critical care, geriatric services and the euthanasia of multiple pets in the last three years. I would not have made it through without her and cannot recommend her or VCA Brookline enough.

Thank you

-Susan L. Navarre from Brookline, MA

Dear Friends at the Brookline Animal Hospital,

I am writing to thank you for your help in exhibiting the Brookline Arts Centers Palette Project palettes at the Brookline Animal Hospital this spring. The extra visibility for the arts center and for Brookline-based artists was a great step forward for the Brookline Arts Center: we brought fun new work by local artists to a broader community, while also raising money to support the Brookline Arts Centers many free programs and low-income scholarships.

Thanks to you, your colleagues, your customers, and your peers in the Brookline business community, the Palette Project and Color Your World Gala combined to raise over $22,000 to support the Brookline Arts Center. We are putting these funds to work right away, providing access to free and low-cost art education to every child and adult in Brookline.

Again, thank you for pitching in on this fun and worthwhile project! Together, we are bringing local art and art education to every aspiring artist and creative child.

Sincerely,

Susan L. Navarre
Executive Director

Mr Wednesday

-JJ from Allston, MA
Pet Name: Mr Wednesday

They were very helpful in helping me out with a painful decision. Relinquishing my "son". I'm a hundredaire and live week to week. So I couldn't afford to fix him. After a debacle at the Angell MSPCA...they called and offered to fix and put Mr W-my boobers-up for adoption. I just want to thank the staff and the two doctors for easing my pain and to help find a good home for my kitty. I will always miss him and he will be in my prayers. Good luck finding a home CAT! <3

Lila in Hong Kong

-Jacob Meunier from Hong Kong, China, MA
Pet Name: Lila

Hello Dr. Sanchez, Dr. Feldman, and staff,

One month after our departure for Hong Kong and one day after Lila's fourth birthday, I wanted to share this update with the medical professionals who helped Lila along the long road of diagnosis, treatment, export through customs, and recovery. Today, Lila weighs exactly 4 kg (8 lbs. 13 oz.), which is nearly one pound more than she did last December, her lowest point, and about the same as before she got sick. She eats and drinks normally, and has a healthy appetite (she especially likes her Prescription Diet I/D). She uses her box regularly and normally, with no diarrhea. We are continuing her medication daily.

Lila's trip to HK was stressful for all of us, but ultimately without incident thanks to Dr. Feldman's diligence with the paperwork. We are temporarily living in a high-rise apartment until our permanent residence has been renovated. For now, Lila doesn't have much space to run around, no birds to look at outside her window, and no smells of the outdoors, but this will change in about two weeks. We will be moving off of Hong Kong Island to an outlying island, where we will be in a townhouse with a garden.

It is no exaggeration to say that without all of your help, Lila would not be the cat she is today. Last January, we were not even certain Lila would live to see her fourth birthday.
For all your professionalism, patience, and caring, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If Lila were able to understand all that you have done for her, she would thank you too.

Enjoy the attached photos of Lila's birthday, complete with a cheesecake in the shape of a wedge of cheese and two little cheescake mice!

All the best,

Jacob Meunier

ongoing appreciation

-David Carrier from Roslindale, MA

I have been a client of VCA Brookline for 17 years. The entire staff is wonderful from front desk, technicians and the wonderful doctors. I am so grateful for the wonderful care of Dr. Lori Feldman and Dr. Scott Groper. They always find the best course of treatment whether simple or serious. They have literally saved lives for which no words can express my true gratitude. Dr. Feldman, you are a blessing.
