  • Technician Supervisor

    Kristin Coppola, CVT
    School: Marist College, BA

    Kristin rejoined the team at VCA Brookline Animal Hospital in 2010. Prior to returning to the team at Brookline, Kristin worked at a small animal and exotics hospital. Kristin also worked at a sister VCA hospital for a board certified surgeon. Kristin attended Marist College where she obtained her BA and is a Certified Veterinary Technician.

    Kristin lives in Central Massachusetts with her husband, Chuck, and their many pets. Her pets include a rescued Greyhound named Tovar, her cat Enzo, and an assortment of geriatric reptiles. Kristin particulary enjoys the diagnostic procedures and how this data helps the team come up with a plan and diagnosis for patients.  She also enjoys mentoring staff and interns.  She hopes to obtain the Veterinary Technician Specialty in Clinical Practice in the future.

    Abbie Davenport, CVT
    Veterinary Tech School: Mount Ida

    Abbie started with us a student intern in 2012, completing two rotations at our busy hospital. After graduation from Mt. Ida College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technology, she came onto our staff full-time. Abbie took and passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam in 2013, and is a Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Massachusetts.  She is a skilled surgery technician and takes a special interest in anesthesia. In her free time, she enjoys music, travel and spending time with her family. Abbie lives locally with her fiancé, and her rabbit, Madball.

    Ashley Kraft
    Veterinary Tech School: Becker College
    School: North Shore Community College, BS

    Ashley has been an integral member of the team at VCA Brookline Animal Hospital since 2010. She graduated from Becker College with dual Bachelor's degrees in pre-veterinary medicine and clinical veterinary science. She also has her associate's degree as a veterinary technician. She lives locally with her fiancee and cares for her family dog Brownie, a therapy and search and rescue dog. Ashley completed an internship an the NE Aquarium participating in North American Lobster research for a year and a half.

    Christian Girod
    School: Roxbury Community College, Certified Veterinary Assistant

    After obtaining his Veterinary Assistant Certificate, Christian started as a kennel attendant in the busy boarding department at the VCA Brookline Animal Hospital, and soon became a trusted Technician Assistant, diligently keeping the appointments and doctors on schedule. His technical skills and competency had him working shifts with all of the surgery technicians on a daily basis, and his well-rounded skills are greatly appreciated by the staff. Christian enjoys DJing on the weekends, promoting parties, and lives locally enjoying the Boston nightlife. Christian's favorite part of his job is learning new skills every day.

    Elektra Markogiannakis
    Veterinary Tech School: Mount Ida

    A veterinary technology student at Mt Ida College, Elektra plans on graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree in 2015, and will become a CVT. Currently she fills a much-needed role as the weekend overnight technician, giving careful attention to any hospitalized patients and the many medical boarders that stay here. Elektra enjoys many school activities, visiting her family in Greece, and lives locally.

    Linda Pellegrini

    Linda came to us in 2011, and fills an integral role at our hospital working as the overnight technician. She worked for many years at Angell Memorial as a technician. Besides dogs and cats, Linda has worked with exotic pets and zoo animals, including monkeys, in the past. She brings her love for all animals to our hospital and is always willing to help with any task when she is here.

    Jessica Rodriguez
    School: Boston College, BS

    Jessica joined the VCA Brookline Team in 2010, and has become a skilled surgery technician. She has her Bachelor’s Degree from Boston College in Psychology, and is currently working towards obtaining her CVT. She takes a special interest in dental procedures, and is an integral part of the surgery team. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, going on walks,and spending time with her family and her pets, Kobi, a Rottweiler, Nizo, a Pittbull, Cash, a Boxer, and Brookline Animal Hospital adopted dog named Tito, as well as her cats Marley, Raja, Georgie, Wally and her ferret Fifa. Jessica most enjoys the people she works with and one day hopes to apply to veterinary school.

    John Andalaft
    School: University of Rhode Island, BS in Animal and Veterinary Sciences

    John joined the VCA Brookline Animal Hospital team in November of 2014. Prior to joining the VCA Brookline team, he completed an internship at the Franklin Park Zoo. John is looking to further his education in the veterinary field and is applying to veterinary schools both in the U.S. and overseas.  He graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences and also played rugby for URI.  John owns a dog, two cats, and two parrots, whom he loves to visit back in his home state of New Jersey.

    Max Grebe
    School: Roxbury Community College, Certified Veterinary Assistant

    Max joined the VCA Brookline Animal Hospital in 2013. He has a Veterinary Assistant Certificate from Roxbury Community College. He spends time working as both a kennel attendant and a Technician Assistant and has a range of skills to help in different areas of the hospital. In his free time, Max plays the guitar at different venues in the Boston area, and lives locally with his four dogs, Avien, Daisy, Lucy, and Rudy.

    Laura Guliani
    School: Boston University, BS

    Laura has been a consistent, important member of the VCA Brookline Animal Hospital since 2011. As a hardworking technician assistant, she keeps the appointments for the doctors moving along and assists the technicians when needed. She graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s Degree in biology, and plans on applying to veterinary school in the future. She enjoys traveling, competing in local “Tough Mudder” events, and spending time with her family. A native of Connecticut, she travels home when she can to visit her two Labrador Retrievers.

    Sophie Kushkuley
    School: Brandeis University, Master's of Linguistics

    Having started with VCA Brookline in 2011, Sophie started as a kennel attendant, and soon gained the skills to progress into an excellent Technician Assistant. Because she can work in many departments of the hospital, she is a very valuable member of the staff.  Sophie has her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Tel Aviv University, and her Master’s Degree in Computational Linguistics from Brandeis University. When she is not working or constantly studying, Sophie spends time with her family and friends.

    Lauren Murray

    Lauren came to the VCA Brookline Animal Hospital team in April, 2011. She has had a lifelong love of animals and spends her free time tracking the habits of wild turtles. She can be found in almost any role at the hospital and goes wherever needed, whether it’s as a receptionist, a technician or a kennel attendant.

    She lives locally with her dog, Toby, and many reptiles.

    Michael Sahagian
    School: Boston College

    Michael joined the team at VCA Brookline Animal Hospital in 2014. He is a student at Boston College and is an aspiring veterinarian.  He is from Boston and lives locally with his dog Brady, a lab/shepherd mix. In his free time, Michael enjoys singing in his school choir and traveling to Europe with them every year. He also enjoys hanging out with friends in downtown Boston.  While at work, Michael especially enjoys being able to quickly and effectively help animals and also seeing pets leave happy at the end of appointments.
