    John Ayotte

    John joined the team at VCA Brookline Animal Hospital in the summer of 2010.  Prior to joining our team, John was working as a freelance graphic designer. He enjoys working with animals and is particulary interested in the general care of cats and dogs. He enjoys walking and caring for the dogs, as well as running playgroups. John is pictured above with our friend Erie the Greyhound, and he hopes to own a greyhound of his own one day. John is also intested in customer service and is learning technical skills, as he hopes to be a veterinary assistant or technician in the future.

    Karein van der Lee

    Karein joined the team at VCA Brookline animal hospital over a decade ago and has devoted her life to the care of pets and their owners. She is very passionate about the human-animal bond. Karein gives special attention to every animal under her care, and is skilled and caring enough to notice any changes in an animal and bring it to a doctor's attention. Karein lives locally with her dog, Skittles and her cat, Zuzu.

    Hope Singer

    Before joining Brookline Animal Hospital’s team, Hope interned at the Gifford Cat Shelter. It was while there that she decided she’d like to expand her horizons and work with dogs as well as cats. She came to our team to explore the field of grooming but found her true love to be working with the animals spending their days and nights in our daycare and boarding facility. 

    She enjoys learning new things with a hands-on approach and sharing her love of animals.

    Wesley Chin

    Wesley joined the team at VCA Brookline Animal Hospital in 2008. He is currently a student at Bunker Hill Community College, where he is persuing courses to enhance his veterinary knowledge. Wesley plans to continue working with animals and hopes to become an animal behaviorist. He lives locally with his dog, KoKo.

    Joyce Kahakalau
    School: Mount Ida College

    Joyce joined the team at VCA Brookline Animal Hospital in 2008. Prior to joining our team, she owned her own mobile pet grooming business. She has also worked as a groomer and grooming instructor for over 15 years. She is passionate about continuing education and has completed a series of seminars on skin and coat care. She has certificates in both grooming and canine behavior and training. She enjoys grooming cats and dogs, and performs many breed specific cuts.
