Laurie started working in the veterinary field after graduating from University of Maine at Orono after an internship at Animal Medical Center in NYC. She graduated with an Associate's Degree in Animal Medical Technology and began working at Bristol Veterinary Associates in August of 1979. 

Her fascination with the human/animal bond and an avid interest in science led her to this career. She continues to be intrigued by the strong relationship we form with our pets and sees this on a daily basis here at VCA Bristol Animal Hospital. 

When she is not at work, you may find her relaxing at home with her husband, Kevin, their pug (Adele) and 2 cats (Mama and Kallie). She enjoys travel, especially to any Oceanside beach; gardening, bird-watching and attending concerts. She is a longtime fan of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
