Training

If you’re adopting an adult pet, training may not be an issue. A mature dog that was formerly house-trained could simply need some time to readjust. Not surprising, cats usually transition seamlessly. Puppies and kittens require a different mindset. Think supreme calmness. Fortunately, puppies learn quickly with proper instruction. One effective method is crate training. Puppies like to keep their sleeping areas clean and will whine and fuss to be let outside. Kittens, on the other hand, only need to be shown where their litter box is and left alone. If any mistakes occur, clean up the mess with a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water. Never punish your pet. Patience and praise will lead to the desired behavior.
