Receptionist Supervisor
Dustin Duits
Dustin loves working at VCA Blossom Hill, but has been at a couple locations in the VCA family now, previously working at VCA Winchester in Campbell. He has had an instinctual love of animals his whole life, and has never been without a pet of some form or another. Before coming into the animal health field he worked as a sales associate at Dolphin Pet Village in Campbell where his love of reptiles and exotics flourished. In his spare time he spoils his household fur-babies: 3 dogs, Sydney, Morra, and Gizmo, and 2 cats, Luna and Sophie. His fiance and him also have 3 tortoises and a bearded dragon. Dustin is a nerd at heart and loves playing video and table top games with his fiance, friends and family. He hopes to go further in the veterinary field with an emphasis on reptiles and exotics!

Kris
Client Service
Kris
Kris grew up on a small farm in Monte Sereno with lots of animals of every different species. After graduating with a BA from Mills College, she spent the next five years pursuing graduate work and managing a movie theater. An armed robbery made theater work very unappealing, so the next 18 years were spent in banking and finance. Finally, in 1999 she returned to her first love…animals. She is a proud founding and still active member of the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley, specializing in opossums. At VCA since 2005, she is one of the pharmacy techs who escorts you into the exam room, weighs the patient, enters your charges and fills your prescriptions.
Kris shares her Berryessa area home with two fantastic cats (Russ and Latte) who were both rescues from work, as well as occasional wildlife. She enjoys all kinds of music and sports and has recently joined a Model A Ford club with her brother in law in an attempt to restore her old high school car. -

She has 2 cats: Maya (9 years old), and Sina (8 years old). Maya traveled cross-country with her when she moved to California. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, enjoying the sunny weather and camping. -
Val
Client Service
Val
Val has been with VCA Blossom Hill since 1995. Prior to coming into the veterinary field, she was a Pharmacy Technician with Walgreen’s and took Veterinary Technician classes at Hartnell College in Salinas. She says that her passion for animals comes from being pet deprived as a child. She has filled that empty spot over the years by providing compassion for dogs, cats, pocket pets, fish, birds, and a turtle. Her latest rescue is a border collie/shepard mix from a shelter. Her spare time is spent watching movies, reading good books, horse back riding, camping, caring and loving her critter kids and understanding husband, and enjoying time with her grandkids.
