Biography

Dr. Paola Lazaretti Lott was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she attended the Veterinary School at the University of Sao Paulo (USP). She graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1996, completed a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 1998, and received her Master’s Degree in Small Animal Internal Medicine (with an emphasis on canine kidney disease) in 2000. She began a successful practice in Sao Paulo, which she left in 2003 to study kidney disease with Dr. George Lees at Texas A&M University. Dr. Lott moved to Dallas in 2007, where she got married (to a Texan!), received her Veterinary License to practice in the U.S., and joined the VCA Beltline East team (in April 2009). Her special interests include General Medicine, Emergency Critical Care, and Nephrology. She and her husband, live in Dallas with their two sons, two dogs, and a cat.
