Dr. Barri Jessica Morrison was born and raised in South Florida. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology from the University of Florida, she then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies in the Caribbean. She then went on to finish her doctorate of veterinary medicine (DVM), doing her clinical year at Louisiana State University. After graduation, she completed a rigorous 1 year small animal rotating internship at Brightheart Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of Westbury in Long Island, New York. During her internship she was able to work in many departments including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Emergency and Critical Care, and Dermatology. Beginning in August 2011, Dr. Morrison began working in a small, family owned, general practice on eastern Long Island. Her passion is most definitely soft tissue surgery but she also has a love for dermatology and internal medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Morrison enjoys traveling, doing anything involving the ocean (fishing, water sports, etc.), cooking, baking, and spending time outdoors, walking around learning more about what living in New York City has to offer! She also enjoys spending time at home with her cat “Izabella” and toy Yorkie “Charlie”.
