  • Dr. Basemore Saved Nugget's Life

-Jones Family from Temple Hills, MD
    Pet Name: Nugget

Pet Image We can not say enough kind things about the wonderful staff at VCA Barcroft and in particular, Dr. Basemore. Our beloved cat, Nugget, was recently faced with a life threatening condition and if it had not been for the knowledge and quick actions of Dr. Basemore Nugget would not be here today. Dr. Basemore was able to immediately identify his condition and provide the proper interventions that saved his life and got him on the road to recovery. Post-surgery, Dr. Basemore would take the time to personally call us and check up on his condition and continue to provide guidance and recommendations to ensure he would be healthy following his ordeal. Her advice has been spot-on thus far and we can not thank her enough. He is now happy and playful as ever and was able to celebrate the coming of 2011 with us! Thanks again to Dr. Basemore and all of the VCA staff.

  • Happy

    -Lynne from Arlington, VA

This is the 3rd Vet and Clinic we have tried and finally we are happy and relieved. Our cat had a thorough check up, caring Tech, Danielle, and professional analysis and treatment by Dr. Bazemore. Our cat is back to her normal self. It's been a 2+ month ordeal until we got to Dr. Bazemore at VCA.

    Pet Name: Lilo

Pet Image My Name is Lilo and I have been a patient at VCA Barcroft for over 3 years now. I love the doctors here. They both have taken great care for me when I was sick and when I am not sick.

Thanks to all the staff and doctors at VCA Barcroft.

    With love from Lilo

  • Exceptional Care

-Jaime Bosserman from Falls Church, VA
    Pet Name: Max and Emma

Pet Image Recently one of my cats passed away from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Later, I adopted a new 8 week old kitten to keep my one year old cat company. I was pretty nervous about having a new cat after the sudden death of my previous kitty babe. I decided to try a new vet, as I was uncomfortable going to the old one. I was greeted by a super friendly vet technician named Danielle. I am a very anxious person when it comes to my cat's health, but she was very thorough and happily answered all of my questions. I was not rushed once throughout the whole vet visit. I also did not spend any time in the waiting room (I was used to waiting about 30 minutes at my previous vet). The vet (Dr. Paradise) was very interested in my concerns and gave my new kitten Max quality care and some loves too. Needless to say I will be returning with my other cat!

  • Microchipping

-Mary Lou Vroman from Alexandria, VA
    Pet Name: Taylor

Pet Image Two years ago I wasn’t even considering microchipping my "boys," Tinker and Taylor. Then my indoor cat, Taylor, was suddenly outdoors when painters propped open a door before I had him secured. Needless to say, it was a frantic, stress-filled three days before a rescue group found him huddled and hungry by a shed in my neighbor’s yard. Shortly thereafter I had both of the guys microchipped. I now have more peace of mind knowing I’ve evened out the odds a bit on finding them safe and sound should the unthinkable happen again.

  • We Love VCA Barcroft Cat Hospital

-Keziah Kelsey from Falls Church, VA
    Pet Name: Ravi and Artemesia

We chose to microchip our cats because I have many friends who have lost their pets after a move because of a forgotten open door. Their sorrow was awful and there chances of finding their pets were minimal. Many never did. I would be heartbroken without my cats so I’m not taking any chances. Thank you VCA Barcroft for give me info on microchip my pets.

    Thank You Very Much
From Keziah Kelsey and Feline Friends Ravi and Artemesia

  • VCA Barcroft is Fabulous

    -Janis Manning from Arlington, VA

Pet Image My Kitties have been patients are VCA Barcroft for almost 9 years now. The doctors and staff have always been a pleasure to work with, so kind and considerate. You can tell how much they love those furry creatures. It's great the way they follow-up on a kitty's condition to ensure he or she is getting better or needs more help.

They treated my young ones and my senior citizens and always take care to explain what is going on medically in language I can understand. I feel comfortable boarding my kitties there. They're so thoughtful, and showed considerable kindness in helping me deal with putting down Holly and later Jackson. VCA Barcroft is the best.

  • To The Staff At VCA Barcroft

-Bill, Linda, and Billy Clark from Alexandria, VA
    Pet Name: Sonny

Pet Image This is simply saying thank you for the kindness that you showed to our family last night when we had to put our beloved cat of 15 years, Sonny, to sleep. Your thoughtfulness and gentle manner with Sonny will never be forgotten. We will miss him so, so much and he will live on in our hearts forever.

The professional manner of your entire staff yesterday, and in the past 15 years, has been top-notch. I would not have wanted Sonny to be taken care of anyone else but at your facility. As hard as it this was to do, we knew it was the right thing to do for Sonny and he is not suffering anymore.

Please extend our thanks to the entire staff for a job well done for the past 15 years.
