Biography

Dr. Marsha Thompson is a 2005 graduate of the University of Illinois-College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to starting veterinary college, she earned a Bachelors degree in Biology at Indiana University Southeast. Initially, she started practicing in West county upon completing veterinary school. Prior to joining the staff at Bal-Coeur, Dr. Thompson was practicing in Illinois. Her professional memberships include St. Louis Greater VMA, Illinois State VMA, American Association of Feline Practioners, and the AVMA. Dr. Thompson’s main interests include ophthalmology, behavior, feline medicine, and dermatology. Her husband is also a veterinarian and practices at a specialty clinic in Manchester, MO. She has a very energetic son, daughter, and a very sweet elderly dog that keep her busy. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and watching Cardinals baseball.
