Biography

Dr. Haas's primary professional focus is to enhance relationships between pets and people and VCA AVH Animal Hospital operates with that mission at its heart.  A graduate of Lafayette College, Dr. Haas went on to receive a Master of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Rhode Island.  He completed his formal education at the University of Pennsylvania where he was awarded a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree.  His particular clinical interests include pet behavior issues, dentistry and skin disease.  

Dr. Haas has a zeal for local history and he published a monograph on the history of Flicksville, PA where he, his wife, Jennifer, and various pets make their home.  He also enjoys natural history, including bird watching and the promotion of native plant species to restore a viable habitat for our wild creatures.  Dr. Haas is a licensed pilot and he and Jennifer love to travel, taking their bicycles and their beloved dog, Beans, whenever they can.
