Christine Lemon
Christine's father is a practicing Veterinarian, so she has been around this profession for 30 plus years. It was quite a transition going from a single doctor practice to a 9 doctor practice when her father joined the VCA Asher team in 1999. She attended Butte College in Chico. Christine loves spending time with her two little boys and husband, horseback riding, dancing, and camping. She has 3 cats, Sticky, Oreo, and Linus, 2 dogs, Mater and Sydney, and 3 horses, Huey, Lilly, and Roxy. -
Marie Hawkins

Marie Hawkins
Marie started with VCA Asher Animal Hospital in 1999. Her first few years, she was our overnight Animal Care Technician. She has filled about every shift in the schedule and currently works our busy weekends. Marie has grown into a key member of the hospital team and is currently a Technician Supervisor. -
Amy Pero

Amy Pero
Amy has been a Registered Veterinary Technician since September 2006. She has worked in the veterinary field since July 2002. She has a special interest in Emergency and Critical Care and Physical Rehabilitation. Amy has a B.A.S. degree in Veterinary Technology from St. Petersburg College. She is also the Hospital Safety Officer and a Technician Supervisor. In her free time Amy enjoys gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family. She has four dogs: Hercules, Stellaluna, Georgia, and Daisy Lou. -

Andrew Wood
Veterinary Tech School: Western Career College Veterinary Technician Program
Andrew Wood graduated from Western Career College Veterinary Technician Program in 1998. He became a licensed Veterinary Technician in 1999. He has since worked as a Technician, Technician Supervisor, and Hospital Manager. His primary ares of interest are surgery, anesthesia, and client service. He joined VCA Asher Animal Hospital in 2007 when he moved to the Redding area with his wife, son, and pets, Catherine, Chloe, Maddie, and George. -
Jackie Loverde
Registered Veterinary Technician
Jackie Loverde
Jackie started as a Veterinary Assistant in Nashville, Tennessee in 1995. She moved to Redding and started at VCA Asher Animal Hospital in 2003 as a Technician Manager. She was licensed as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2008. Her interests are in wound management, surgery, patient care, and employee/client relations. She has four dogs and enjoys hiking with them in the mountains of Northern California. She has also recently developed a special interest in horsemanship and hopes to eventually have a horse of her own.
