Amanda Bork, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, Colorado State University

Dr. Bork was born here in Redding, CA and was raised on a farm in Palo Cedro. Her many years in 4-H and time spent with her animals at home gave her a love for veterinary medicine at an early age. She went on to earn a B.S. degree in Animal Science at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where she also met her husband Tim. In college, Dr. Bork started working as a companion animal veterinary technician, and between her undergraduate and graduate studies she worked here at VCA Asher. Dr. Bork attended the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and earned her DVM in 2010. In July of 2010, Dr. Bork moved back to Northern California with her husband and son, and happily accepted a position as an associate veterinarian at VCA Asher once again.  Since she joined us, her family has grown to include two daughters as well.  Her professional interests include pain management, anesthesia, and canine/feline rehabilitation therapy. Dr. Borks free time is spent with her family, as well as her dogs Cinder, Dixie and her Dozer.
