    Desneiges Hansen
    Veterinary Tech School: Parkland College

    Desneiges graduated from Parkland College and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2011. She is happily married to her husband, Damien, and they share their house with 4 cats, 2 rats, 2 dogs of their own, and 1 foster dog. Desneiges fosters for a rescue in Crown Point, IN, called CPR Fund. Desneiges would like to specialize in canine behavior and help rehabilitate damaged dogs so they can be adopted into loving families.

    Melissa (Mel) Meredith
    Veterinary Tech School: Parkland College, Champaign-Urbana

    Mel is a Certified Veterinary Technician that has been at the clinic since August 2000. Mel has been dubbed "the cat whisperer" by her coworkers because of her ability to handle fractious cats. She is also the clinic kitten mom, having raised many kittens and adopted them out over the last few years. Mel currently has 5 cats of her own: Loki, Tiger, Lily, Kashka and Derby. She married her husband Chris in August 2001.  Their son, Quentin, was born November 2005.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Patti Bertrand

    Patti has been at VCA Aroma Park since April 2007. She is cross trained and depending on the day can be found working as a technician assistant, receptionist, or kennel tech. Her family pet is a chihuahua named Oreo.

    On her days off, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Paige, born August 2008, and also enjoys scrapbooking and doing all types of "crafty" projects.


  • Veterinary Assistant

    Mindy Montgomery

    Mindy joined the VCA team as the kennels manager in July 2008. She has since been crossed trained and can be found working as a receptionist or technician assistant depending on the day of the week.  Mindy has 2 children, Shawn and Shaylee. Her fur-kids include 2 dogs: Wrigley and Roxie, a cat named Weezy, and four guinea pigs: Pedro, Penelope, Petunia and last but not least....Little Pig. (and a partridge in a pear tree!!).
