Traci Gilbert, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Biography
Dr. Traci Gilbert grew up along the East coast, while her father served in the Coast Guard. After completing her undergraduate degree in Marine Biology at the University of South Florida, Dr. Gilbert moved to central Illinois to complete her Veterinary degree at the University of Illinois. Her veterinary medical interests are primarily in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. In addition, Dr. Gilbert has worked and volunteered in a variety of capacities with rescue and rehabilitation organizations for wildlife and marine life. She has a keen interest in utilizing her veterinary degree to promote an awareness of animal and environmental conservation through education.
When Dr. Gilbert isn’t serving the small animal community as an associate veterinarian at VCA Aroma Park Animal Hospital, she is usually found herding around her two little boys (Kyle and Colin), as well as a dog, cat, and bunny, along with her husband, Jared. In her spare time, Dr. Gilbert enjoys reading, swimming, gardening, and yoga.
