Miranda Ertel, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, North Carolina State University

Miranda Ertel, DVM, was born and raised in Buffalo, NY where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Canisius College. In 2006 she moved to North Carolina to attend North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine and earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2010.  She has worked as a small animal veterinarian in Fuquay Varina and Clemmons, North Carolina.  She has four loving dogs that she adopted from North Carolina County Shelters while attending Vet School.  They are Katiya (German Shepherd mix), Mikka (Greyhound mix), Sinah (German Shepherd), Reese (Beagle/Terrier mix). Her Paint horse, Once Upon A Color, made the long journey with her from Buffalo in search of greener pastures. Fefe, which she is affectionately nicknamed, is a very sweet mare that Miranda has been riding since 2003.  The most recent addition to Miranda’s pack is a cat named Meowsers that was found as a stray kitten in a soccer park by a client. When not  practicing veterinary medicine, she really enjoys spending time outside with her animals; walking, hiking at Umstead, Stone Mountain, Hanging Rock, and Pilot State Parks, canoeing, and socializing with fellow animal enthusiasts.
