All species welcome.

Pet Name: Artemis
I have taken my dog Artemis here since we got her and all my cats. I must say that every pet, be they cat or dog, is treated and viewed as if they are the only pet there. The staff is always clear, and answers all questions as many times as needed, on what the people need to do so the fuzzy people get and stay well.

I've been bringing my dogs and a pigeon or two to Apache since 1996. First with Opie (Ophelia) and now Millie.

Pet Name: J.D. and Duke
When you go to the doctor and he knows your name, history and little quirks about you and it makes you feel good right. I take both of my 2.5 year old dogs (J.D. and Duke) to VCA Apache and they remember them right away and everything about them. If I go in with just one Dr. George will ask about the other by name and remember his issues. J.D. does not like the vet at all and they suggested that we bring him in once a week just to visit them and to help him get used to it. They are willing to take time out of their day to make my little old dog more comfortable with them. They don't get extra for that, they don't have to do it, but they do and it is not a pain for them. When I told Lori (customer care specialist) that I will be coming in to see them. She went to the shelf, pulled out diet treats, and labeled them just for J.D. This gesture in its self shows that they really do care and are not in it just for the job. I would recommend VCA Apache to anyone with any animal knowing that they will get the same service as I did.

Pet Name: Raycee
Just over one week ago, our precious Jack Russell, Raycee, became EXTREMELY ill and was diagnosed with IPT (an autoimmune disease). Thanks to Dr. Austin and the amazing staff at Apache animal hospital, their attention to detail, attentiveness, expertise and unwillingness to give up on her, Dr. Austin was able to quickly diagnose the problem. Raycee was taking a turn for the worse very quickly and was possibly in need of a blood transfusion. Everyone jumped to find a hospital and blood bank that could handle her now life threatening case. They made arrangements for emergency transport to VCA in Mesa, AZ, a facility that was equipped to handle the transfusion as well as having the blood on standby from a facility out of California! The VCA Apache staff had all this arranged in less than an hour and had her stabilized for the trip. By the time Raycee arrived at VCA Mesa, all of her records were there, Dr Austin had already spoken to the Emergency Vet as well as the internal medicine specialist, and they were expecting us as we came through the door! By the grace of God, determination of EVERYONE at VCA Apache and their true love for Raycee. This life threatening situation was COMPLETELY averted!
Dr Austin, Lori, Jessica, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Savannah and all those other behind the scenes, you are Raycee's unsung heroes! Words cannot express the thanks we all have for saving her life!!!! It's a team like VCA Apache that you want on your side!!
Lost our Mandy girl
-Cathy Terrill from Sierra Vista, AZ
Pet Name: Mandy
We had surgery done at another local vet where they held us hostage for extra money at the last minute. Even though they removed the cancer she got a skin infection she had never had from their dirty clippers. Our new Vet at VCA Apache treated her for the infection successfully and charged us fairly. All the staff was the best The office was very clean and pleasant. A few weeks ago we came home to our dear girl in extreme distress and called. They were full but of course said bring her in. After a very careful exam, and discussion we decided to do the kindest thing. Which was done with love, care dignity and respect. Thank you everyone at VCA Apache for helping us through this and we will tell everyone we know that you all are the best. God's blessings to all who care for his creatures Cathy
They are the best!

Pet Name: Baby
The staff and doctors are the greatest! On June 11, 2015 they made a terrible day manageable on the passing of our beloved 11+ year old Chow, Curly. Really loved the card that we received after. Now we are taking our new Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy, Baby, to them. He just loves coming there and everyone spoils him with lots of hugs. Today, 8/22/15, he gave Dr Heather a hug and a kiss on the neck during his exam!
