  • A Standard of Excellent Care

    -Donna King from Latrobe, PA
    Pet Name: Molly and Abby

Pet Image Even though I have moved, temporarily, to Western Pennsylvania, we make the trip annually to bring our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels back to see Dr. Halsey for a yearly exam. For over 10 years, Dr. Halsey and the rest of the staff at VCA have taken such excellent care of my fur kids. They always call them by name, and I believe it is because they treat my babies so gently that they are completely unafraid of vet visits and actually like being there. This is not the least expensive veterinary care available, but it is simply the best. Kudos to everyone at VCA.

  • Thank You to the Amazing VCA Staff

    -Barry Wallace from Omaha, NE
    Pet Name: Disco

I am compelled to write this on behalf of the services provided to my dog, Disco. Disco was regurgitating, I thought she was throwing up, for two days before I took her into the Omaha VCA. Once I called the clinic, the wonderful staff worked her into their already busy schedule. She was seen by DVM Patricia Stevens-Kopf. X-Rays and blood work did not reveal any blockage and anti-nausea medications were administered.

For the next two days, Disco was still unable to keep any food or water down. I called again and she was seen by her Doctor, DVM Keith Halsey and Veterinary Assistant Ruth. I have never met an assistant as loving as Ruth. The thought of how she handled Disco brings tears to my eyes; she is a true asset to the clinic and company. DVM Halsey took X-Rays again and saw the same thing DVM Stevens-Kopf saw, no blockage. He then used barium and took the X-Rays again. This time, it was apparent, Disco has a Mega Esophagus. He counseled me on the care and feeding of her and recommended additional tests. We are waiting the outcome of the Myasthenia Gravis test.

DVM Halsey treated her last year after she had eaten some sugar free gum and was poisoned by xylitol. He stayed well after closing to ensure she was given proper treatment. Ultimately, she recovered, and I owe all credit to him and the staff at VCA Omaha. The entire staff went well above their call of duty to ensure she had the best possible care available. I cannot thank them enough.

I understand that empathy is a must in their business but we received nothing short of sympathy. You cannot fake this, it was genuine. When I am asked why I do not use a cheaper veterinary clinic, my response is simple and a part of the mission statement:

“Our hospital team is made up of dedicated individuals that make your pet’s health their number one priority. At VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha, we believe in teamwork and providing a warm and inviting environment for every patient.”

Luanne, DVM Stevens-Kopf, DVM Halsey and the entire crew at VCA Omaha are the most professional and caring group of people a company could ever ask for. My deepest and most sincere thanks go out to them. We are a customer and patient for life.

As for Disco, we are managing and I am sure we will be making more trips to the VCA. I am absolutely convinced when I say that there is no better team to help manage her condition. Thank you to the VCA and the wonderful people at VCA Omaha.

Pet Image Modem has been so much better since his prompt diagnosis and surgery for kidney stones. He's like a new cat - much more energetic and healthy! The staff are always so helpful, kind, and thorough. We can't thank you enough!

  • Recommended

    -Rita Lucero from Omaha, NE
    Pet Name: Lizzy

Pet Image My beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel suddenly became ill and after visiting her regular vet twice and her not improving- I found VCA online. They have taken exceptional care of her and she is back to her spunky self. I highly recommend this clinic.

  • Twenty-five Years of Excellent Service

-Pam, Buck, Pixie from Omaha, NE
    Pet Name: Buck and Pixie

Pet Image I have been taking my beloved animals to the Animal Medical Center for 25 years. Our primary doctor has been Dr. Patricia Stevens-Kopf, however, every doctor at this clinic is excellent. I have never had a complaint. The Support Staff is equally proficient, professional, skilled and caring in their positions, also. I have recommended many people to this medical facility over the years and will continue to do so.

  • Poodle Pack Praise

-Lynn D. Saunders from Omaha, NE
Pet Name: Ty standard Willy minature Hank toy

Thanks to Dr. Patricia Stevens-Kopf we are getting off to a healthy start and living long lives. She makes us feel like she has been waiting just for us. She is always professional, prompt, and helpful. We couldn't ask for more and we wouldn't go any other place for our medical needs.

  • Compassionate, Detailed, Ethical Care

    -Emily T. from Omaha, NE
Pet Name: Sam, George, and Fred, grown littermates

Pet Image I don't know how to even begin to describe the impact this clinic has had on my and my cats' lives. My family has been seeing Dr. Cory since the late 80s while I was growing up, and now I see him with my own animals. I have 5 cats total right now, 2 of which are chronically ill, one a 16 year old with IBD, and an 11 year old who had Perineal Uresthrostomy surgery due to multiple urinary blockages. Dr. Cory and the "ladies up front" (the receptionists, though they are so much more than that and have been my emotional support during tough diagnoses) keep my cats' health as their utmost priority. I know that Dr. Cory is incredibly busy with hundreds and hundreds of animal clients, but he has never rushed me, instead taking the time to explain in great detail what is wrong with my animals and how to go about treating them. When presented with emotionally challenging visits, he supports every decision I make, helping me to balance the tremendous cost of chronically ill pets with the most responsible and ethical course of action. I always leave Dr. Cory's office feeling so much more knowledgeable than when I started. I already dread the day Dr. Cory retires, but until then, I will faithfully be a VCA Animal Medical Center client!

  • Best Care Ever

-Sandy and David from Papillion, NE
Pet Name: Kayde, Brande, Mort, Tobee, Sophee, Rustee, Tessee

We have been coming to Animal Medical Center for 25 years - to an entire staff that has always been professional and very caring. We have been very fortunate to have Dr Stevens-Kopf as our vet. She takes GREAT CARE of ‘ALL OF US’. Thank you!! Those up front that we usually interact with are Lynne, Karin, and Dawnna. There is always a smile when we walk in. We have had issues from time to time. For example, billing – Lynne was right on it; and obtaining insulin – Karin was there. I know if I have a question or concern, they will take care of it. That peace of mind can mean everything. Thank you to each one of you also.

  • A vet that cares

    -Angel from Omaha, NE
    Pet Name: Rocky

This is a vet that truly cares about animals. My puppy had a horrible accident and broke his leg. They were quick to get him pain free and on his way to get the treatment he needed. From surgery, aftercare, or regular checkups, this is the best place to take your pet. Dr Stevens-Koph and all the staff are so nice. My puppy is still healing and goes in weekly for bandage changes but he is never scared to go to the vet. He loves all the vet (nurses) and gets very excited to see them. They will take care of your pet like it was their own. :)

  • Our Meows

    -Margie Silvestrini from Omaha, NE
Pet Name: Figaro, Sapphire, Topaz, Angel, Gracie

The best vet is Dr Cory and the entire staff who are so patient, so caring, so understanding and genuinely care so much about all of the animals. My mom and I have five meows: Figaro, Sapphire, Gracie, Topaz and Angel. They all are well taken care of every time I bring any of them in.

All of my previous pets: Peaches, Sylvester, Xanthe, and Hobbes were also well cared for by Dr Cory and the staff.
