• A Standard of Excellent Care

  Even though I have moved, temporarily, to Western Pennsylvania, we make the trip annually to bring our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels back to see Dr. Halsey for a yearly exam. For over 10 years, Dr. Halsey and the rest of the staff at VCA have taken such excellent care of my fur kids. They always call them by name, and I believe it is because they treat my babies so gently that they are completely unafraid of vet visits and actually like being there. This is not the least expensive veterinary care available, but it is simply the best. Kudos to everyone at VCA.

  Our Meows

  The best vet is Dr Cory and the entire staff who are so patient, so caring, so understanding and genuinely care so much about all of the animals. My mom and I have five meows: Figaro, Sapphire, Gracie, Topaz and Angel. They all are well taken care of every time I bring any of them in.
  
  All of my previous pets: Peaches, Sylvester, Xanthe, and Hobbes were also well cared for by Dr Cory and the staff.

  Thank You to the Amazing VCA Staff

  Pet Name: Disco

  I am compelled to write this on behalf of the services provided to my dog, Disco. Disco was regurgitating, I thought she was throwing up, for two days before I took her into the Omaha VCA. Once I called the clinic, the wonderful staff worked her into their already busy schedule. She was seen by DVM Patricia Stevens-Kopf. X-Rays and blood work did not reveal any blockage and anti-nausea medications were administered.
  
  For the next two days, Disco was still unable to keep any food or water down. I called again and she was seen by her Doctor, DVM Keith Halsey and Veterinary Assistant Ruth. I have never met an assistant as loving as Ruth. The thought of how she handled Disco brings tears to my eyes; she is a true asset to the clinic and company. DVM Halsey took X-Rays again and saw the same thing DVM Stevens-Kopf saw, no blockage. He then used barium and took the X-Rays again. This time, it was apparent, Disco has a Mega Esophagus. He counseled me on the care and feeding of her and recommended additional tests. We are waiting the outcome of the Myasthenia Gravis test.
  
  DVM Halsey treated her last year after she had eaten some sugar free gum and was poisoned by xylitol. He stayed well after closing to ensure she was given proper treatment. Ultimately, she recovered, and I owe all credit to him and the staff at VCA Omaha. The entire staff went well above their call of duty to ensure she had the best possible care available. I cannot thank them enough.
  
  I understand that empathy is a must in their business but we received nothing short of sympathy. You cannot fake this, it was genuine. When I am asked why I do not use a cheaper veterinary clinic, my response is simple and a part of the mission statement:
  
  “Our hospital team is made up of dedicated individuals that make your pet’s health their number one priority. At VCA Animal Medical Center of Omaha, we believe in teamwork and providing a warm and inviting environment for every patient.”
  
  Luanne, DVM Stevens-Kopf, DVM Halsey and the entire crew at VCA Omaha are the most professional and caring group of people a company could ever ask for. My deepest and most sincere thanks go out to them. We are a customer and patient for life.
  
  As for Disco, we are managing and I am sure we will be making more trips to the VCA. I am absolutely convinced when I say that there is no better team to help manage her condition. Thank you to the VCA and the wonderful people at VCA Omaha.

  VCA staff are fantastic! My dogs Spike and Penny receive great care from Dr. Cory, like all dogs, they shiver and shake when they get the the office, but all of the staff are wonderful and quickly put them at ease.

  My beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel suddenly became ill and after visiting her regular vet twice and her not improving- I found VCA online. They have taken exceptional care of her and she is back to her spunky self. I highly recommend this clinic.
