Benita is the senior lead technician at VCA Animal Medical Center where she has been employed since March, 1998. In 2008 she qualified for the designation of VTS (Dentistry). Benita is a member of the Technician Development Team for the Pacific Northwest and mentors technicians at five of Washington States' VCA hospitals as well as helps to coordinate continuing education events. Benita provides continuing education to veterinary professionals through lecture and wet lab events across the United States and Canada through her own business, Pawsitive Dental Education. She has also authored a chapter of the book "Small Animal Dental Procedures for Veterinary Technicians and Nurses." Benita is the newly elected secretary for the Washington State Association of Veterinary Technicians in 2014. She would like to advocate for the advancement of veterinary technicians in VCA hospitals and world-wide in the area of dentistry as well as all areas of veterinary technology. In her spare time Benita enjoys running, skiing, cycling, swimming, hiking, camping, motorcycle trips with her husband and spending time with her young adult daughters as much as possible.

Melissa was raised in Richland, WA and attended Pierce College for her 4 year veterinary technician schooling. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2002. Her hobbies outside of work include horse back riding, hiking, and tennis. Her favorite animals are rabbits and cats and she has a special interest in nutrition, pathology, and surgery. She is planning on earning a VTS (specialty) in pathology and nutrition. An interesting tidbit about Melissa is she used to work with Alpacas at Alpacas of America.

Amie has been working at VCA Animal Medical Center since April 2014. She worked at a dog boarding kennel for four years before coming to AMC. Amie currently attends WSU Tri Cities where she is majoring in Biological Sciences. She wants a career in wildlife management in the future. Amie's favorite part of working at AMC is interacting with the clients and helping to educate them on what is best for their pet. Amie has 3 cats, 2 rabbits, a miniature poodle named Lightning, and a horse named Tinkerbell. In her free time, Amie enjoys riding her horse, reading novels, and baking.
