    Benita Altier, LVT, VTS (Dentistry)

    Benita has been with AMC since 1998; she just celebrated her 18th anniversary with us in April 2015! Benita is a veterinary technician specialist (VTS) in dentistry. She travels to various clinics in the United States and Canada, teaching veterinarians and technicians about dentistry and the various aspects of it. With lots of passion behind it, Benita loves teaching and educating others on how to help the animals with their oral health. Benita has two grown daughters and married her husband, Mark, in 2014. In her spare time, Benita loves to exercise, especially running. She and her husband have two cats at home.

    Marsha Loll

    Marsha was raised back East and lived in Maryland before moving to the Tri Cities in 2014, with her husband Steve. Marsha worked as a researcher for a company involving biomedical, engineering, and hazard protection problems. Marsha occasionally travels back east to do work for them since moving to the Tri Cities. She enjoys the safety aspects of the workplace and educating others on the importance of safety as well as safe animal handling. Marsha and her husband just welcomed their first child in April 2016. They have two cats at home.

    Michelle Miller

    Michelle grew up in Detriot and moved to Walla Walla in 2005. She has a total of 10 years in general practice, 5 years in Specialty, and 5 years in shelter/rescue. Michelle has been a licensed technician since 2007. While Michelle was working at the shelter, she was involved excessively in trap-neuter/spay- release programs. She has been with AMC since spring of 2015; she loves being a technician so she can be the voice of the animal. Michelle lives in Walla Walla with her husband, Kurt, and four cats, one who is a tripod. In her spare time, Michelle was a roller derby girl, until she unfortunately broke her leg, then six months later, broke her other leg. She also loves to geo-cash.

    Leslie Jo Pease, LVT
    Veterinary Tech School: Yakima Valley Community College

    Leslie Jo is a licensed technician who has been with AMC since 2011. Leslie Jo grew up on a farm with various animals, including horses, pigs, cats and dogs. She has been involved in rodeo since high school and is still actively involved today.She is currently in the nursing program at Yakima Valley Community College. Leslie Jo lives in Hermiston with her young daughter; her pets include cats, horses, and dogs. Recently, she also acquired a miniature pig. Outside of work, Leslie Jo enjoys spending time with her daughter and family.

    Nicole Blakely

    Nicole grew up in the Tri Cities and has been working in the veterinary field since 2011. Before coming to AMC in December 2015, Nicole was an assistant at Banfield Clinic. Always finding pleasure in working with animals, Nicole would like to become a licensed technician and would like to work with large animals, specifically horses, in the future. Nicole and her husband, Dusty, have two children and one dog, a Border Collie.

    Mari Diaz

    Mari grew up in Sunnyside and graduated from Mabton High School. Mari worked at Sunnyside Vet Clinic prior to AMC. She adopted her cat, Quinn Elizabeth, from the Sunnyside clinic. Mari has been part of AMC’s team since fall of 2014. She says the best part of her job is getting the sick/hospitalized patients healthy and seeing how happy both the owner and pet is. In her spare time, Mari loves to go to music festivals and car shows and is a huge Harry Potter fan.

    Crystal Gardiner

    Crystal has been a member of AMC’s team since 2013. She started as a kennel assistant and moved her way up to room assistant. Crystal is taking classes through PennFoster for the LVT program; she has become quite the leader and go to person for the room assistants. Crystal grew up in Spokane and had worked in a shelter prior to AMC. She enjoys all aspects of working in a veterinary office. Crystal and her husband, Josh, have two young boys. Their pets include one cat and one dog. Her hobbies include horseback riding, baking, the movie Hocus Pocus, and spending time with her family.

    Kate Howard

    Kate is from both the Tri Cities and Portland area. While growing up, she was involved extensively in pageants. Before coming to AMC in 2014, Kate worked at Pet Emergency Services and Animal Eye Care. She enjoys the animal field because of the ability to help the injured pets. Kate is currently enrolled in the LVT program through PennFoster. At home, Kate has several dogs, two cats, and a miniature pig.

    Amie McKenna

    Amie grew up in Benton City and worked in a dog boarding facility for four years before coming to AMC in 2014. Her favorite aspect of working in a veterinary office is interacting with clients and educating them about what is best for their pet. In May of 2015, Amie received her Bachelors in Biology from WSU Tri Cities. She has recently grown a love for behavior and training, due to her Saint Bernard she adopted with reactivity issues. Amie resides in Pasco with her fiancée, Josh, their three cats, and one dog. Outside of work, Amie enjoys walking/hiking with her dog as well as training him, reading, and creating adventures with her fiancée.
