VCA Animal Medical Center

Our Hospital

Your Neighborhood Veterinarian.

VCA Animal Medical Center, located in the heart of Richland, has deep roots in our community.  Most of our team members have worked here long enough to see two generations of pet families.  Our Medical Director, Dr. Harbinson, has been caring for pets at Animal Medical Center for nearly 20 years.  Dr. Harbinson and her associates, Dr. Sandmeier, Dr. Weier, Dr. Sutten, Dr. Fingerson and Dr. Corwin, received their veterinary degrees from Washington State University.  In addition, Dr. Harbinson is Board Certified in Canine and Feline Practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP).

VCA Animal Medical Center is one of the few AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited practices in the Tri-Cites area.  Accreditation through AAHA ensures that a veterinary practice is operating at the highest standards of excellence in pet care.

When it comes to our veterinary care, we're always reaching higher.  At VCA Animal Medical Center, we constantly evaluate new drugs and procedures to make sure we offer the latest, proven treatments.  We use the most advanced medical equipment and provide ongoing education for our hospital team so that we are always up to date on both prevention and healing methods.  It's the best way we know to keep your pet healthy.

Specialty Care

Sometimes sick or injured pets need the care of a veterinary medical specialist. When that happens, VCA specialty hospitals work closely with the general practitioner veterinarians who refer cases to us in order to provide seamless veterinary care to your pet. When your pet is facing any kind of serious illness or injury, our specialty referral hospitals will provide the compassionate and expert care your beloved pet needs.

Our goal is to make sure that when you and your pet are in need that you have access to board certified specialists who are up to date on the very latest developments in their field. In our state of the art hospitals, our specialists also have access to the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment tools and techniques from ultrasonography and endoscopy to CAT scans and even MRI.

As part of the VCA family, we have over 83 specialty hospitals across the US and Canada which provide referral specialty care, so there may be one near you. Our specialized services include: behavior, cardiology, critical care, dentistry, dermatology, integrative medicine, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, rehabilitation, reproduction, and surgery.
