  • Wonderful place for your pets

    -Linda T. from Hamilton, NJ
    Pet Name: LD

I adore the Veterinarians in this practice and am so thankful for all they have done for my dog, rabbit and cat. I routinely see Dr. Marx and have seen Dr. Braz for an emergency. I like that they take a holistic approach to care and thus do not over or needlessly vaccinate or prescribe medicines when something natural and gentle with less or no side effects can be given and titers can be performed to measure antibodies. When medicine is needed it is given but all options are explored and tailored for the animal being treated. When my dog was first suspected to have a liver shunt I had taken him to a specialist center for evaluation, we were not using VCA Animal Healing Center at this time. The vet I was using and the specialist wanted to do surgery and a biopsy to conclude his condition. I couldn't believe this approach to care and took him to VCA Animal Healing Center for a second opinion. Dr. Marx had treated my rabbit for a chronic gastrointestinal problem and had improved the quality of her life tremendously and I felt confident she could do the same for my dog. It takes me about 45 minutes to get to VCA but the drive is well worth it. My dog's blood work has improved tremendously with natural supplements and changes to his diet. We monitor his condition with bi-annual visits, do the necessary lab work and at this time all is pretty good. I've seen many animals come to VCA Animal Healing Center that are old, have chronic conditions or are there for their wellness check ups and the one consistent thing I notice is the connection between animal and doctor/staff. The doctors and staff truly do care about their patients and connect with them and try their best to improve the quality of their lives. At times the office can get a little hectic/busy ... after all it is a healing center and not everything goes as planed but I've never found it horrible to wait. I've enjoyed conversations with other people who bring their animals in for care and even have learned some things. I am so happy with this practice that I wish I could be treated there too.

  • Just the best

    -Sharon Lloyd from Carversville, PA
    Pet Name: BenBun

Pet Image This is the best and it keeps getting better. I've had pets cared for here since the founder opened it 30 years ago. Holistic care does so much more to protect pets and the options for treating disease are more comprehensive than allopathic care alone. Dr. Sharon Marx is superb and gives top flight care to my rabbits. She coaches clients in essentials of sound nutrition and preventive care and makes sure we understand our roles as proactively responsible clients and guardians. Not every clinic deserves to say they are capable of caring for rabbits, and precious few can do so with a whole view of health, but Animal Healing Center excels on both counts. Oh yeah, Dr. Marx loves the kits and doggies too! Care Credit welcomed here.

  • The Staff...

    -Ryder from Levittown, PA
    Pet Name: Ryder

Pet Image What a warm and wonderful place to take my Baby for his exams!

Taking a pet, and a cat especially, can be very stressful for them and their owner, but VCA animal healing center couldn't do more to make you feel comfortable.
The Staff goes out of their way to give my boy so much love and attention, while being extremely informative. The compassion they have is overwhelming.
Elizabeth is extraordinarily helpful. She isn't a Vet, but she has just as much helpful information as any of them, and knows just how to word it so I know exactly what they are talking about.
I have sat with several of the vets their, and don't have a complaint about a single one.
I also appreciate that even though it is a Holistic hospital, they don't bash conventional care, and often encourage it, but help you to combine the benefits of both conventional, and holistic care to ensure that my pets receive the best possible care in living a very full and amazing quality of life.

    Thank you to everyone!!!

  • Our Christmas Miracle

-Mitch Kotler from West Chester, PA
    Pet Name: Kingston

    Pet Image Dear Dr. Braz,

Our Mastiff puppy was a little over 1 year old when he was diagnosed with Wobblers disease. He was falling up to 30 times a day, could not lift his paws when he walked causing them to scrape and become bloody, and his prognosis was bleak and our hearts were breaking. As a last consideration against more conventionally prescribed cures (such as surgery which had poor write-ups for survival and/or cure), I brought Kingston to you for consideration of acupuncture and "golden beads"

While other Veterinarians had shown a reluctance to work on him without sedating him first, you were immediately comfortable with him and were willing to try acupuncture. After that experience you indicated that you felt that he was a candidate for golden beads and we scheduled his procedure immediately following Christmas. I should tell you that despite having read about the procedure and seeing very positive owner responses, I had felt that this was an absolute last ditch effort and akin to considering voo-doo.

It has been a year since you performed the procedure and Kingston has been doing wonderfully and seemed to be mostly cured almost immediately following our visit. I tell the story repeatedly to others in the event that they know of any dogs that might similarly benefit. We call him our "Christmas Miracle" and we are so very thankful to you and your staff for making his recovery a reality. Thank you and I hope that you have a wonderful holiday.

  • Can't Find Better Than Dr. Marx and Staff

    -LaKeshia Snyder from Bangor, PA
    Pet Name: Dusty

Pet Image We want to say a HUGE “thank you” to Dr. Marx and her fantastic staff. Our 7 year old Doberman, Dusty, suffered from a torn ACL and despite numerous types of treatments, 2 surgeries on his knee and being on all sorts of supplements, pain medications and NSAIDs, he still refused to use his leg. Our hearts were broken as we watched him hop along in pain for an entire year and saw how broken his spirit was. We had been to Dr. Marx previously, so when we heard about goldwire implants, we trusted her opinion that we should give it a shot. Literally, Dusty hopped into the Animal Healing Center on 3 legs and walked out using all 4 of his legs (already starting to bear weight on his bad leg). He continued to improve and is bearing full weight on his leg now, in just a few short months AND he has not had a single dose of anti-inflammatory meds since the implants! In addition to the obvious physical improvement, he is also in much better spirits now. He’s back to the happy boy we knew before his knee problems. We cannot begin to express our gratitude to Dr. Marx. She is a brilliant doctor and so very compassionate. Truly the only veterinarian that we don’t have to drag the dogs into! Dusty loves Dr. Marx and her assistant, Tina, and they are excellent at handling the dogs. We are also very thankful for Tobi, the friendly face behind the desk and on the other end of the telephone. The Animal Healing Center is nearly 2 hours from our house but we gladly make the trip because they are the only place that we can say we truly trust with our furry family!

  • Dr. Elana Braz

-Jeanine Scholz from New Hope, PA
    Pet Name: Cassidy

I am so pleased that my friend referred me to this animal hospital. My cat Cassidy was diagnosed with chronic renal failure several months ago and I was taking him to my regular vet. However, Cassidy had reached the point where he could no longer eat for the most part and had lost a great deal of weight. I was told by my vets office to just keep trying other foods, but it was not working. I knew that if this kept up that Cassidy could not last much longer, and my friend suggested I try her vet for an alternative form of treatment. Within just a few months, Cassidy has gained weight, has a nice shiny coat, loves to eat and is back to his old self. I cannot thank Dr. Braz enough for her care and her dedication, she has made a major difference in our lives.

  • Thank you, Animal Healing

-Stephanie and Liz from Hampton, NJ
    Pet Name: Acadia

Pet Image We have been bringing our pets to the Animal Healing Center for more than 8 years now and usually visit Dr. Elana Braz. We have truly appreciated the open-mindedness and assistance in caring for our dogs and cats. The concern and caring shown to us as we have lost a few pets along the way have been second to none, also.
All of our pets (dogs and cats) love being treated at Animal Healing which to us shows the comfortable atmosphere provided to visiting pets.
Thank you for everything you do and we look forward to continuing our relationship with you.

  • Thank you all

    -Janna Rome from Hopewell, NJ
    Pet Name: Jesse

Pet Image I want to say that I wish I had discovered you all when we first moved to NJ 3 years ago. All 3 of you women vets there and Tobi have been just what I long for and love in a relationship with a vet. The fact that you use ALL the tools to hand - allopathic medicine and natural medicine is GREAT medicine. 40 years ago some of the old timer vets would tell me useful natural remedies but for many years I felt that my thoughts, questions, ideas were met with veiled contempt or complete lack of interest or willingness to investigate. So thank you all so much for your commitment to good animal care and your kindness to their humans.

  • Voske

    -Pamela from Princeton, NJ
    Pet Name: Voske

Voske is a very sensitive and sweet orange tabby cat. Dr. Marx is the best veterinarian we have ever been to. In addition to her skill as a doctor, Dr. Marx has been the most compassionate doctor Voske has ever had. Since we have been going to the Animal Healing Center his health has dramatically improved due to the wellness program of the center and Voss' ongoing acupuncture and other holistic care.

Dr. Marx's staff is also-to the last person-simply extraordinary! I cannot recommend them more highly. I am very grateful to have found them-and so is Voss.

  • Sage And Prince's new BFF's

-John Joe Sage and Prince from Pitman, NJ
    Pet Name: Sage and Prince

Pet Image We ALL know what it's like trying to drag our dogs into the vet's office. They absolutely hate it! You will not experience that here. That's the first thing you will notice about VCA Animal Healing Center, your pet wont mind being there. And that's just the beginning. Dr. Marx was referred to us almost a year ago when we really had no where else to turn to. She is so patient, kind and knowledgeable. Sage is doing so amazing since she has been under Dr Marx care, if it weren't for the fact that we have to keep her leg wrapped, you would never know there was something wrong with her. Along with the great care, Dr Marx and the rest of the staff take the time to go over everything with you that you will need to do at home as well. We have learned quite a bit from them and as a result, we have a very happy dog.
