Hello! I started in the vet field as a vet assistant in 2006 and quickly decided that being a veterinary technician was the career for me because I have always loved taking care of animals and their people, and am also fascinated by medical science. I attended the veterinary technology program at Argosy University in Eagan and graduated at the top of my class with a degree and a certification as a veterinary technician in 2009, and started working with VCA in 2013. I have a variety of experience including exotic animal, anesthesiology, and emergency medicine, but my main interest is in alternative medicine and care for dogs and cats. I have three cats named Nibbles, Batman, and Akroma. My main hobbies outside of work include hiking, rollerblading, playing video games, going to geeky conventions, reading, and snowboarding in the winter months. I look forward to meeting you!

Veterinary AssistantRachel Jones
I have known I wanted to work with animals since I could talk. I have always loved kitties. I decided to become a veterinary technician to finally combine my biggest passion with my career. I look forward everyday to coming to work and surrounding myself with co-workers who have the same passion. My experience at Argosy University from the first day instantly confirmed that I made the right choice. My internship at C.R.O.W. revealed an unknown admiration of wildlife care, especially birds. I love teaching my nephew about animals and bringing him to the zoo to learn more. Being a veterinary technician makes me happy and brings joy to my life everyday. I recently joined the VCA family in the fall of 2015 and look forward to learning and growing in my career path.
