  Angelina Jolie "Annie" was found on our front porch seeking shelter from the cold on January 5, 2010. She was suffering from mange and malnutrition. After calling in to work, we took her to VCA, Norfolk. Even though we arrived before business hours, staff member Brenda allowed us to wait in an exam room where it was warm. Annie was so weak, she had trouble even standing. After almost a year of frequent visits, Annie is very happy and healthy. Annie has made many friends at VCA and enjoys visiting. We want to thank the staff at VCA and especially Dr. Thompson for helping our baby make a full and wonderful recovery.

  I'm a 5 month old puppy, that stared death in the face twice. First time was when my previous owners abandoned me and left me to fight the elements and fend for myself. then I found my new owners, who love me, and nursed me back to health. I was feeling great when I became VERY sick with Parvo, my new moms brought me to VCA Animal Hospital, everyone there helped me, they really cared about me, and they were good to me, they saved my life. Thanks to everyone at VCA Hospital who helped me get well enough to get back to my moms.

  My fiancé and I have a 10 week old German Shepherd puppy name Chloie. Once Chloie came home from her breeders, we were looking into different Veterinarian's in our area. I enrolled her for her paper's with the AKC, and the AKC referred us to the VCA Animal Hospital. When we arrive we were greeted by a very polite and professional staff. Dr. Thompson was great with Chloie, our puppy received her shots without a problem. Dr. Thompson and his staff were very professional and informative concerning Chloie's health. We received information on Pet Insurance, Heartworm, her shots and other information concerning training, teething, fleas, ticks, etc. Always a pleasant experience, our questions are always answered, the staff is always informative. What pleased us most is how they were very loving to Chloie. We would recommend Dr. Thompson and his staff at the VCA Hospital to anyone. We are confident that her health is in good hands.

  The staff at VCA Animal Care Center is awesome. I have a rescue dog, Kyla, who is an older girl with some trust and fear issues. Abby and Amanda make our vet visits as positive and easy as going to the vet can be! They treat Kyla with so much kindess and care. She had surgery earlier this year and Dr. Thompson did a wonderful job and everyone put my mind at ease. Kyla made a full recovery and is doing great. We just adopted another Boston terrier, Jasper, and are looking forward to introducing him to everyone. Thanks guys!

  Saving Mirlo

  After 5 months of visiting 6 other veterinarians, our dog, Mirlo, was near death. One visit to Dr. Thompson (and his amazing staff, Michael Monroe), saved my dog's life. Dr. Thompson suspected he had a pancreas issue (non-absorption), recommending a special blood test. Within 48 hours, he provided us with the results (he was correct), and ordered the medication necessary to save Mirlo. What am amazing veterinarian - caring, kind and professional. Michael Monroe is my hero (as well as Dr. Thompson!) THANK YOU FROM MY FAMILY!

  Cali's First Visit

  Cali's first visit here was a great one. The receptionists were very friendly and Dezora was very informative (thanks Dezora)! While waiting for the doctor, we got to meet some amazing dogs w/ amazing parents :) After Cali's visit with Dr. Thompson...all I can say is that he's the BEST!!! Thanks Dr. Thompson :)

  My dog Tot and I are very grateful for the level of care he has recieved from both Dr. Powers and Dr. Thompson. It all started about 2 years ago when Dr. Powers saved his life from parvo. This year he broke two teeth and Dr. Thompson did an excellent job fixing him up. The staff and doctors are knowledgeable and compassionate and I'm sure Tot will keep me coming back for more!
