Whitney Collier

Whitney has been with VCA Animal Care Associates since 2007. Outside of work, she enjoys cleaning, farming, spending time with her family, and going to Nascar races with her husband Roger. Her animal family includes an english bulldog named Maynard, a potbelly pig named Mister Skiddles, and a himalayan named Sassy.

Sammantha Hayes

Sammie joined our VCA team in July 2011. She grew up in a military family and has traveled all over the world. She was born in Indiana, but has lived in South Carolina, Colorado, Iowa, Washington, Hohenfels, Germany and Heidelberg, Germany.

Outside of work, Sammie enjoys playing her clarinet (she has been playing since she was 9!), speding time with her boyfriend Steven, and visiting her family in Fredericksburg. She has two cats named Temperance and Xander who stole her heart immediately as kittens.

Diana Kennedy

Diana has worked in the veterinary field since 2009 and been with VCA Animal Care Associates since 2009. Her animal children consists of 8 ferrets, 5 boys and 3 girls, named Emma Lou, Picallo, Scrabble, Biggin, Santana Moss, St. Pierre, Nairobi, and Bentley.

Diana has always been passionate about art. She has been instrumental in our seasonal pet photo shoots and building our float for the Colonial Heights Christmas Parade. She also makes beautiful, personalized pet memorials.

Outside of work, Diana enjoys working out, watching sports, and is a die-hard Redskins fan!

Sometimes sick or injured pets need the care of a veterinary medical specialist. When that happens, VCA specialty hospitals work closely with the general practitioner veterinarians who refer cases to us in order to provide seamless veterinary care to your pet. When your pet is facing any kind of serious illness or injury, our specialty referral hospitals will provide the compassionate and expert care your beloved pet needs.

Our goal is to make sure that when you and your pet are in need that you have access to board certified specialists who are up to date on the very latest developments in their field. In our state of the art hospitals, our specialists also have access to the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment tools and techniques from ultrasonography and endoscopy to CAT scans and even MRI.

We have over 40 specialty hospitals across the US so there may be one near you. Our specialized services include: behavior, cardiology, critical care, dentistry, dermatology, integrative medicine, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, rehabilitation, reproduction, and surgery.
