Cristian Palma, MSC, VMD is originally from Lima, Peru. Born into a diplomatic family, he lived in many countries while growing up, including, France, Peru, England, Yugoslavia, and Brazil. He received his International Baccalaureate degree while on scholarship at Lester Pearson United World College in Victoria, British Columbia, and Canada. He went on to do his Bachelor's degree in Biology and Master's in Ecology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Palma received his Doctorate in Veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995. His first year practicing was spent in New Jersey at a small animal hospital with 5 other veterinarians.

In 1996, he and his wife moved to the Flower Mound area and he joined a small animal practice in Dallas, where he spent the next seven years. Dr. Palma worked part time at VCA Angel for two years, and joined our team full time in April 2007. Dr. Palma loves to spend time with his wife and 3 children, enjoys reading, mud runs and traveling. He has 3 cats, Daxx, Koda and Pandora as well as two goofy labs, Tobin and Maarken.
