Biography

Cristián Palma, MSC, VMD is originally from Lima, Peru. Born into a diplomatic family, he has lived in many countries while growing up, including, France, Peru, England, Yugoslavia, and Brazil. Dr. Palma received his International Baccalaureate degree while on scholarship at Lester Pearson United World College in Victoria, British Columbia. He went on to do his Bachelor's degree in Biology, and Master's in Ecology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. To further his studies, he received his Doctorate in Veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995. His first year practicing was spent in New Jersey at a small animal hospital with 5 other veterinarians.

In 1996, he and his wife moved to the Flower Mound area and he joined a small animal practice in Dallas, where he spent the next seven years. Dr. Palma worked part time at Angel Veterinary Center for two years, and joined our team full time in April 2007. Dr. Palma loves to spend time with his wife and 3 children, is a purple belt in karate and enjoys reading, languages and traveling. He has 2 cats, Maya and Sara and hopes to eventually add a dog to the mix.
