JC Vanosdoll, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, Washington State University

Dr. Van joined Alpine Animal Hospital in June of 1987 when it was a three doctor practice in an A frame building by Issaquah Creek. He has seen the practice grow and change in many ways over the years. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Van spent six and a half years as a research scientist for Weyerhauser research and development in the energy and environment department, working to make pulp mills more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. He eventually decided to follow his passion to become a veterinarian and graduated from Washington State University Veterinary School in 1987. Dr. Van enjoys working and living in Issaquah with his daughter, one lablike dog and Blackberry the rabbit. He enjoys all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, the climate, sailing, hiking, camping and cross country skiing. He also spends a lot of his free time gardening, remodeling and maintaining his house. Dr. Van considers himself a general practitioner with a primary goal of preventative health care so pets can live long and healthy lives. His special interests are dentistry, soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. While primarily seeing dogs and cats, he has been treating pet house rabbits, guinea pigs and other small furry critters for over 20 years.
