Cathy Pierce, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

DVM, Oregon State University


Dr. Pierce is originally from Oregon and received Bachelor of Science degree from Montana State University – Billings in 2005. She went on to receive her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She began working at veterinary hospitals when she was in high school and discovered an interest in emergency medicine while obtaining her doctorate. In addition to emergency care, she also focused on anesthesia and internal medicine while in school. After graduating, she practiced at emergency hospitals in both in Tacoma and Las Vegas. She happily moved back to the Pacific Northwest in May of 2013 to begin working at Alpine Animal Hospital. She is a member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Outside of work she can be found rock climbing, hiking, biking, running, and practicing yoga. She and her husband currently have one dog.

VCA Alpine Animal Hospital provides 24 hour emergency veterinary care, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Emergency veterinarians, veterinary technicians and/or veterinary assistants are on staff 24 hours a day.
